Decoy dogs for coyotes

Thanks to Claymore for this video. I had heard of folks using dogs to decoy them in but had never seen it.

  1. I had to tell myself they were using tranquilizer guns to watch the video. I know what they do but being an animal lover, it hurts my heart to see them get shot.

  3. We probably live in the same suburb. We're pretty sure that's what got our cat last summer. I'm with Niki on watching them get shot and not really liking it, but they're predatory vermin and have to go... kinda like libruls.

P.S. Here's an "Awwwwww" pic of our new kitten and old dog, taken in one of those few moments when they aren't fighting like, well, you know. He doesn't know it yet but he's never, ever going to be an outside cat. We're even training him to shit and piss in the toilet so we don't have a stinking litter box around.

  5. This video is full of win.

I have a two year old. After bring him in from playing outside with the little guy, I look out the window to see a huge 'yote in my hedge feet from where we were.

Now I wear a piece when we go out to play.

The little bastards got 3 of my five gineu hens, all of them during the day. Have not seen sign since December. But they will be back.

Lucky here in Vermont it is open season. An I plan on serving it up hot and fresh come spring.
