Illegal immigrants in US Marine uniforms arrested

SAN DIEGO -- Border Patrol agents in San Diego say they have caught 13 illegal immigrants wearing U.S. Marine uniforms.
Agency spokesman Michael Jimenez says Tuesday that the van was stopped at a border patrol checkpoint March 14 along Interstate 8. Jimenez says the van had a U.S. government license plate with an altered number. He says it's not known where the group obtained the military uniforms.
The Naval Criminal Investigative Service is handling the investigation. Navy investigators referred calls to Washington, D.C., and no one could be reached for comment Tuesday afternoon.
Jimenez says two U.S. citizens who were with the immigrants were arrested on suspicion of alien smuggling. He says three of the illegal immigrants are being held in federal custody as witnesses and the others have been returned to Mexico, their country of origin.

Released them to Mexico? Are you kidding?
Hey, they wanted to be Marines, let' em be Marines. COMBAT Marines.  Enlist them for 4 years with a minimum of 2 in Afghanistan.
No problem, Juan, Jesus and Jose (that covers all 13 of them), welcome to America.

  1. I think it's a felony to impersonate a military person, so the U.S. guys might be in for some time in the slammer.
The illegals just got a bus ride home, and will be back next week....

  6. Wirecutter, I saw this item on a news website and thought I'd send it along to you. Shoulda known you'd seen it already...

These "people" REALLY PISS ME OFF! Trying to assume the identity of some of the finest men and women in the United States, who would willingly give up their lives for our country and our freedoms -- and using it to get their ILLEGAL asses into our country so they can grab some of the "goodies" our country has, without having to pay for them... I think they should have been shot right on the spot. As for the two "Americans" who might have been smuggling them into our country... [long string of profanity omitted] should have been shot as well!

  7. That story lacked only one phrase. At the end, it should have read, "...minus one nut."

  8. The article I saw earlier said they all had the same name on the uniform, like Lopez or some such. There was no way these fools were going to get past the border patrol roadblock.

I have a relative in the border patrol so I love these kind of hits. Too bad they aren't allowed to do more.

  10. I joined the Army to repay my Country for the rights and privileges I enjoy. No regrets there except I was foolish and got out after only 4 years. Now I wish I had stayed for the full 30.....
