  3. Is that real? Photoshopped maybe? We don't get that many cars here in Maine in a YEAR!

  4. Deb,
No photo shop. This is daily LA commuter traffic.

  5. No, that's real. It's either the 405 or the Hollywood freeway. They both get that clogged at certain times during the day, and if there's an accident it gets worse. All those cars will be moving 2mph for an hour or two, or until they get past the accident.

  6. Niki -

JHC. I don't understand the logic, or lack thereof, of anyone willing to do that every freakin' work day.

Many decades ago I was in CA with the dead-ex and it took hours to go just a few miles in LA. Ended up at a beach on a busy road/highway with parking meters (WTF?), condos upon condos, and people who don't look like humans. I did get to see some porpoises and wade in the Pacific. Wish I could have seen the more suburban/rural northern parts of CA.

  7. Barstow's rural, Deb. Didn't you say you went there?
Some of the finest meth labs in the state there......

  8. Deb,
I'm with you on that. The last time I was in LA, I sat in a resturant until the traffic cleared and drove out of town. I hate that place.

  9. That's pretty much ANY Freeway everyday between the hours of 5am and noon and 4:30pm and 9 o'clock. I hate it but it's got a lot better since unemployment is so high and businesses have left.

It should get real good when the Gov. raises taxes some more and forces more business to leave.

  11. LOL - Yup. Drove through the lovely town of Barstow. Didn't see much of it through the dust. Wait. Was that meth?

  12. Left SoCal back in '68 after spending a bit of time in San Diego courtesy of Uncle Sam. I never saw that guy named Gomer Pyle but it was rumored he was once there.............

  13. That has to be photoshopped, no one leaves that much space between cars and there should be more cars changing lanes!
Actually, that looks a little heavy for that early on the 405 at the getty center.
