Yeah, even her "people" realize she ain't shit
(Telegraph) — South Africa President Jacob Zuma has snubbed the visiting Michelle Obama by sending his prisons minister to meet the first lady at the airport and failing to see her during her three-day stay.
Mr Zuma was out of the country for the first day of Mrs Obama’s second solo trip abroad on Tuesday and although he returned on Monday night, aides said he was “not available” to meet her.
Instead, he arranged for Corrective Services Minister Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula to greet her on her arrival in Pretoria on Monday night, and one of his three wives, Nompumelelo Ntuli-Zuma, to meet her briefly on Tuesday.

An update on Ron
To all those who have had my husband Ronnie on thier prayer list I thank you very much. Unfortunately he has not improved any more and actually went down hill again. I met with his pulmonary doctor today and he says Ronnie will never be off the ventilator and will never come home again. After much discussion and the fact that his wishes are to not be on life support we had to make the discisson to take him of life support. He is still with us but the doctors don't think he will lasr long but e could all be fooled. I pray so. Again thanks for the prayers.
Please folks, think and pray for Ron and especially his loving wife Phyllis.
You know this has to be very hard for her.

Annoucing Private Kirk Lane, United States Army
I went over to my folk's house today to tell Pops that I loved and appreciated him for his devotion to me and my siblings and got a hell of a pleasant surprise.
Now my sister died back in '97 and my folks took on the responsibility of raising my 2 nieces and my nephew.
Don't get me wrong, now. I love all 3 of them kids, but my nephew has been pissing me off BAD lately. He's 20 now, yet had no ambition whatsover. He still lives with his grandparents but wasn't looking for a job. He was perfectly content to sleep in 'til noon, party with his buds all night and play guitar. Now, Pops didn't put up with that shit when I was his age (I got woke up on my 18th bithday with a warning to have a job that day or git gone, my choice) but he's mellowed/rotted with age and he's been been putting up with KPs' irresponsibility. Not only that, but he's been making excuses for him.
Which pissed me off to no end.
So I sat down with KP a few months ago and told him to get his shit together, find a fucking job and quit being a burden on my folks, and yeah, I was kinda sorta blunt about it. His eyeballs were bugging out from the lack of oxygen by the time I was done.
I even suggested joining the military like me, his uncles and his Grandpa did but his reply was "That just isn't me Uncle Ken and please, I can't breathe."
Fucking pussy.
So today I go over and KP met me at the door and told me right away that he'd enlisted in the Army. Not only dd he enlist but he went 11 Bravo AND Regular Army.
I shook his hand, brought him in for a man-hug and congratulated him.
Fucking A, Brother. Ya done good.
It's weird how I can go from being pissed at him to incredibly proud of him overnight, huh?

I know, I'm getting soft.
Hey, I had a great weekend all in all. Got some repairs done on the truck Friday AM, then my Sweetie stopped by later that morning and ended up staying until a few hours ago. Yesterday we threw some shit in the truck and went for a wander - ended up putting a couple of hundred miles on the truck just fucking around - I wanted to show her some of my favorite places with a side trip to Columbia State Park for herself. So I took her all over the Southern Mines area in the Mother Lode, down all kinds of twisty narrow fucking canyon roads and she was actually interested in my mini history lessons.
I really like this girl. Me and Lisa both have a lot in common as far as upbringing (she's an Army Brat too), she hates crowds and big cities, and we're close to the same age, me being a few years older.
She's never shot but is willing and wanting to learn, likes to fish, doesn't mind if I hunt or disappear for a day or 3 and has a fantastic sense of humor. Plus she plays a mean game of backgammon. Oh boy, does she play a mean game of backgammon.......
Her politics are more middle of the road than mine (fuck, Rush Limbaughs' politics are more middle of the road than mine), but she admires the fact that I stand up and am willing to fight for what I believe. She's never said a word about the Git Kit (bug-out bag, GOOD bag, whatever you want to call it) in the living room other than to ask what it was and what was in it. Of course then I had to explain why I had it packed and that it was to stay packed and where it was and she didn't roll her eyes TOO much.
What I really like about her is she told me right out the gate two things: she wanted to take things slow and she needed her alone time.
A woman after my own heart.
I mentioned yesterday that I had a vacation coming up in 3 weeks and she asked "Gonna go hunt for a few days?" Not "What are WE going to do?" but if I was going to hunt. And when I told her I had planned on a two or three day hunt, she just nodded and smiled.
Yeah.
Now her faults:
She wants to wait on me in my own house. I ain't used to that shit - a guest is a guest - but she's the kind of girl that believes in pleasing her man. That's going to take some getting used to.
CharlieGodammit is SO fucking in love with her, it ain't even funny. Let me put it this way: I've had CGD for about 18 months and my mother has been over about a dozen times in that period, yet she can't walk up the sidewalk without him beating himself bloody against the security door trying to kill her. Once she's in the house it's all good and he'll love on her, but when she approaches, she's a fucking intruder.
Lisa, on the other hand, got a welcoming bark and a tail wag the second time she came over. I should've known then that I was in trouble.
And when she leaves, that sorry-ass Wolfdog mopes and whines for days. Seriously. He will lay his head on the couch and snivel like a baby.
I can't believe it. I have lost my pet wolf to her......
And she does find it peculiar that I worship the Pig as much as I do - she laughed when she saw bacon mayo and salt - but she'll get used to that. She better.........
So I think that even as early as we're into it,this is my first serious relationship since my divorce, and folks, I honestly believe, given my feelings about her, that I need to put some honest effort into making this work. I think it could turn out to be something I never had.
Yeah, I know. Next thing I know, y'all are gonna be accusing me of having a house decorated with flowers and paintings and shit instead of barbed wire, I'm going to Gay Pride parades, I'll be driving a Prius, and having that bitch Cindy Sheehan over for dinner.
Whatever.
Fuck Obama.

Did you expect any different? Seriously?
WASHINGTON (AP) — In another blow to Washington's relationship with Pakistan, U.S. officials say Pakistan failed another test to prove it could be trusted to go after American enemies on its soil by intentionally or inadvertently tipping off militants at two more bomb-building factories in its tribal areas, giving the suspected terrorists time to flee.
The two sites' locations in the tribal areas had been shared with the Pakistani government this past week, the officials said Saturday. The Americans monitored the area with satellite and unmanned drones to see what would happen.
In each case, within a day or so after sharing the information, they watched the militants depart, taking any weapons or bomb-making materials with them, just as militants had done the first two times. Only then, did they watch the Pakistani military visit each site, when the terror suspects and their wares were long gone, the officials said, speaking on condition of anonymity to discuss matters of intelligence.

Again, he shows he thinks he's above the law.
WASHINGTON -- President Barack Obama decided he could continue the air war in Libya without congressional approval despite rulings to the contrary from Justice Department and Pentagon lawyers, according to published reports.
The president relied instead on the opinions of other senior administration lawyers that continuing U.S. participation in the air operations against the regime of Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi did not constitute "hostilities," triggering the need for Congressional permission under the War Powers Resolution, the New York Times reported in its online edition Friday night.
Among those reported to support the president's action were White House counsel Robert Bauer and State Department legal adviser Harold H. Koh, the paper said. Those opposed included Pentagon General Counsel Jeh C. Johnson and acting head of the Justice Department's Office of Legal Counsel Caroline D. Krass.
One issue was reported to be whether firing missiles from drones amounted to hostilities.
Presidents can ignore the advice of the Office of Legal Counsel, but rarely do so, the newspaper reported.
The 1973 law prohibits the military from being involved in actions for more than 60 days without congressional authorization, plus a 30-day extension. The 60-day deadline passed last month with the White House saying it is in compliance with the law. The 90-day mark is Sunday.
Yeah, so a lawyer that never practiced law or even wrote a single brief decided that he can over rule our laws on the word of his advisors.
And on the issue of missles being fired from drones being considered hostile? I'd imagine if you were on the recieving end of those missiles you'd consider them to be pretty damned hostile.
The fact of the matter is that when he started this shit he promised that it would last "days, not weeks" and now it's approaching the 90 day mark.
Another promise made, another promise broken.

Michelle Obama aiming to inspire African youth
WASHINGTON -- Michelle Obama is fond of saying there's no magic to her being first lady.
She didn't come from a wealthy or well-connected family. She came from the South Side of Chicago and is a descendant of slaves. But she says it's a passion for an education that she and President Barack Obama shared and a willingness to work hard that helped them become successful.
It's a message that young leaders in Africa soon will hear when Mrs. Obama makes her second solo trip abroad as first lady, visiting South Africa and Botswana this coming week.
"In so many ways, I see myself in you all. And I want you to see yourselves in me," she recently told Washington high school students, hoping to inspire them with her personal story.
The weeklong visit, beginning with the first lady's arrival Monday in Johannesburg, is intended to improve relations between the U.S. and Africa and promote youth engagement, education, health and wellness. In the centerpiece speech of the trip, she will appear Wednesday before a U.S.-sponsored forum of young women leaders from sub-Saharan Africa.
Yeah, I guess none of us expected her to inspire Appalachian WHITE Youth, did we? Not that they'd listen to a fucking thing she had to say.......

Just sayin'........
When asked in a recent survey, 90 per cent of American men responded that their most memorable and joyous moment in life was being present at the birth of their first-born child. Obviously none of them have ever seen an illegal alien getting run over crossing the freeway.....

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- A convicted killer who was out on parole is accused of shooting and critically wounding a northern Arkansas mayor who had written a letter in support of his release from prison.
Everton Mayor Bill Gerdes was in critical condition at a hospital in Springfield, Mo., after he was shot in the back and left hand Wednesday night.
Authorities arrested Justin Bates around midnight Wednesday after an hourslong standoff outside his father's home in Everton. Boone County Sheriff Danny Hickman said Bates, 35, faces a count of attempted capital murder and a firearms charge.
He's being held at the county jail on $1 million bond. He does not have an attorney yet, Hickman said.
Nearly five years ago, when Bates became eligible for parole in a second-degree murder case, Gerdes wrote to authorities on Bates' behalf.
"Having visited him during his incarceration from time to time I have noticed his progress and a change of atitude, espepecially the last 2 years," Gerdes wrote in an August 2006 letter obtained by The Associated Press. "I think him and his outlook on life have changed a lot for the better."
Bates was released on parole in September 2010 and had not encountered any problems until the alleged shooting, community correction spokeswoman Rhonda Sharp said. He and the mayor "had a good relationship," Hickman said.
Authorities say they do not let know what led to the Gerdes' shooting. Hickman said Bates was drunk when authorities took him into custody. No one administered a breathalyzer test.
"We're still investigating the motive," Hickman said.

Hang on Sloopy
Man, it's been a hell of a week.
I cannot believe how fucking tired I am when I get home but it seems like the older I get the more often it happens.
Every time I get home and start remembering what a fucked up day I had, I have to remind myself that it could be worse - I ain't bleeding, I'm still breathing and I ain't locked up.
One more day, one more day, one more day.......
