My work day
Shit was all fucked up.
(And every man and most women just grinned and nodded their heads as they read that. Y'all understood immediately what kind of a day it was.)
I won't go into detail about it - mainly because work is at work and my ass is at home in my Camouflage BassPro Easy Chair - but let me say this:
Had I been the boss today, I would've burned the fucking place down to the ground and retired to the nearest tavern.
It wasn't as long as I figured it to be, I only got an hour and a half of OT so that makes an 11 1/2 hour day with an hour drive each way.
And in a half an hour I get to go to bed so I can do it again tomorrow.

Bacon. Mmmmm, bacon.....
A thief dubbed 'Britain's drunkest woman' has admitted that she stole bacon in order to fund her somewhat excessive habit of downing 28 pints a day.
31-year-old Dawn Marsden has received a six-month conditional discharge in Hartlepool Magistrates' Court after admitting to stealing 10 packs of bacon to help fund her boozy ways.
Jobless Marsden was so hammered when she showed up for sentencing that she had to ask reporters what her punishment was afterwards.
"You may have noticed my client has a drink problem," her solicitor told Hartlepool Magistrates’ Court.

A man that enjoys his job

Something I had no desire to do when I was young enough but now wish I had. Airborne would've been fun......
But neither Obama nor his administration are socialist...
(The Hill) — A leading House Democrat is hoping to use his prestigious seat on the deficit-cutting supercommittee to close the growing gully that divides the rich and the poor in America.
Rep. James Clyburn (S.C.) said the recent debate over slashing spending and reducing deficits has all but ignored the toll those cuts could exact on lower income folks, particularly in minority communities. Clyburn — the third-ranking House Democrat and a member of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) — is vowing to use his perch on the Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction to tackle the nation’s enormous wealth gap.
“In 1963, Dr. [Martin Luther] King [Jr.] expressed disbelief that the vault of opportunity in this great country was empty. Yet in 2011, the gap continues to grow wider between those who enjoy great wealth and those who struggle to get by with little thought of ever getting ahead,” Clyburn said in a statement reacting to his appointment on the deficit panel.

THE SUN NEVER SETS ON THE BRITISH WELFARE SYSTEM
August 10, 2011
Those of you following the barbaric rioting in Britain will not have failed to notice that a sizable proportion of the thugs are white, something not often seen in this country.
Not only that, but in a triumph of feminism, a lot of them are girls. Even the "disabled" (according to the British benefits system) seem to have miraculously overcome their infirmities to dash out and steal a few TVs.
Congratulations, Britain! You've barbarized your citizenry, without regard to race, gender or physical handicap!
With a welfare system far more advanced than the United States, the British have achieved the remarkable result of turning entire communities of ancestral British people into tattooed, drunken brutes.
I guess we now have the proof of what conservatives have been saying since forever: Looting is a result of liberal welfare policies. And Britain is in the end stages of the welfare state.
In 2008, a 9-year-old British girl, Shannon Matthews, disappeared on her way home from a school trip. The media leapt on the case -- only to discover that Shannon was one of seven children her mother, Karen, had produced with five different men.
The first of these serial sperm-donors explained: "Karen just goes from one bloke to the next, uses them to have a kid, grabs all the child benefits and moves on."
Poor little Shannon eventually turned up at the home of one of her many step-uncles -- whose ex-wife, by the way, was the mother of six children with three different fathers.
(Is Father's Day celebrated in England? If so, how?)

Ah, who cares about your rights?
SAN FRANCISCO -- An illegal, Orwellian violation of free-speech rights? Or just a smart tactic to protect train passengers' safety from rowdy would-be demonstrators during a busy evening commute?
The question resonated Saturday in San Francisco and beyond as details emerged of Bay Area Rapid Transit officials' decision to cut off underground cell phone service for a few hours at some stations Thursday. Commuters at stations from downtown to the city's main airport were affected as BART officials sought to tactically thwart a planned protest over the recent fatal shooting of a 45-year-old man by transit police.
Two days later, the move had civil rights and legal experts questioning the agency's move, and drew backlash from one transit board member who was taken aback by the decision.
"I'm just shocked that they didn't think about the implications of this. We really don't have the right to be this type of censor," said Lynette Sweet, who serves on BART board. "In my opinion, we've let the actions of a few people affect everybody. And that's not fair."
Damn, Lady. Too bad TSA and the rest of the government don't see things your way.
BART Deputy Police Chief Benson Fairow said that, for his agency, the issue boiled down simply to one of public safety.
"It wasn't a decision made lightly. This wasn't about free speech. It was about safety," Fairow told KTVU-TV on Friday.
Yeah, fuck the people and their rights. Fuck free speech.

FTF (Fuck the feds)
I went coyote hunting last weekend and found the perfect place to set up, unfortunately it was just downhill from an abandoned gold mine. I had a pad to sit on, but the waste rock I was kneeling in was killing my fucking knees so today I went down and bought a set of military knee pads from my local surplus store, Crescent Supply.
When I walked through the door the girl behind the counter said "Hi, Mr Lane, let me know if I can help you with anything."
I started laughing. They know me by name.
When I was in there prowling around, I remembered something I had read at Sipsey Street Irregulars or Western Rifle Shooters' Assn about how in Colorado the feds have issued a directive for gun and surplus stores to report any suspicious activities like buying prepper items like packs, MREs, flashlights, paying with cash, etc because we "might be domestic terrorists".
So when I got up to the counter I flat out asked Riley if they've gotten something like that.
He told me that they had but they weren't cooperating. He said that preppers, Patriots and survivalists were their bread and butter and he wasn't going to kill his business or reputation by spying and informing on his customers and besides, at any given time there was at least one cop in the store shopping their 511 Tactical line of police gear. "That's their job, not mine. If they see something suspicious, they can handle it."
Right on, at least one business owner's tell the feds to go fuck themselves.
I paid for my purchases and as I was walking out the door:
"Bye, Mr Lane! See you next week!"

It's not just black folks, Mr Mayor
PHILADELPHIA (AP) — The painful images and graphic stories of repeated violent assaults and vandalism by mobs of black teenagers had gotten to be too much for Mayor Michael Nutter.
As an elected official and a "proud black man" in the nation's fifth-largest city, Nutter felt he had to go a step beyond ordering a law enforcement crackdown.
So he channeled the spirit of another straight-talking Philadelphian: Bill Cosby. Nutter took to the pulpit at his church last weekend and gave an impassioned, old-fashioned talking-to directed at the swarms of teens who have been using social networks to arrange violent sprees downtown, injuring victims and damaging property. Moreover, he called out parents for not doing a better job raising their children.
"You've damaged yourself, you've damaged another person, you've damaged your peers and, quite honestly, you've damaged your own race," Nutter said at Mount Carmel Baptist Church.
The 54-year-old mayor, married with a teenage daughter and a grown son, called out absentee fathers and neglectful parents. He did not mince words, saying they need to be more than just a "sperm donor" or a "human ATM."
"That's part of the problem in our community," Nutter told the congregation. "Let me speak plainer: That's part of the problem in the black community. ... We have too many men making too many babies they don't want to take care of and then we end up dealing with your children."
Punked AGAIN!!!!
Federal judge throws out Obama drilling rules
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — A judge on Friday threw out Obama administration rules that sought to slow down expedited environmental review of oil and gas drilling on federal land.
U.S. District Judge Nancy Freudenthal ruled in favor of a petroleum industry group, the Western Energy Alliance, in its lawsuit against the federal government, including Interior Secretary Ken Salazar.
The ruling reinstates Bush-era expedited oil and gas drilling under provisions called categorical exclusions on federal lands nationwide, Freudenthal said.
The government argued that oil and gas companies had no case because they didn't show how the new rules, implemented by the U.S. Bureau of Land Management and U.S. Forest Service last year, had created delays and added to the cost of drilling.
Freudenthal rejected that argument.
"Western Energy has demonstrated through its members recognizable injury," she said. "Those injuries are supported by the administrative record."
Subway just lost my business
I usually don't eat fast or prepared food - can't afford to and Lisa cooks better anyways - but I'll never step foot in a Subway again.
I don't patronize muslim owned businesses or those that I'm aware of that cater to them.
Help a brother out?
The quick release on one of my ALICE pack straps is busted and I'm having a bitch of a time finding a replacement set. My local surplus store had them - until I needed them. Lane Luck, you know?
My Git Kit is in a civilian pack, but I use my ALICE for my coyote gear - calls, ghillie, ammo, small survival kit, etc.
If one of y'all run across a link that sells new or used straps, would you please forward it to me?
Thanks, I appreciate it.

Zillas' post nails it
So far in Iowa, I’ve been to events for Herman Cain, Michele Bachmann and Rick Santorum. If they get a couple of local TV stations and two or three newspaper reporters to an event, that’s “good coverage.” But at today’s Romney event — held at the home of a local businessman — it was a totally different level of coverage: The Philadelphia Inquirer, the San Francisco Chronicle, Gwen Ifill, Charlie Cook, Al Hunt, Carl Cameron of Fox News, etc. I counted no fewer than 12 TV or video cameras recording Romney’s speech.

Did they let him bust a nut before they arrested him?
SPRING HILL, Tenn. – Police in Spring Hill arrested a local music teacher Thursday morning after he was caught engaging in a sex act with a doll outside a local elementary school.
Officers were called to Allendale Elementary School on Prescott Way in Spring Hill amid reports of a white male with a duffle bag under a bridge on school property. The bridge provides access to the school from the main road.
Spring Hill police told Nashville's News 2 the responding officer witnessed the man, identified as 56-year-old Daniel Torroll, performing sex acts on a child-like doll police later discovered he'd cut holes into.
The officer reported the man was naked and in a location where he could be seen by people driving up to the school.
"I happened to be there I didn't know it was school property. I wouldn't be there if I knew it was school property," Torroll told Nashville's News 2.
Authorities took Torroll into custody and charged him with public indecency, a misdemeanor.
He was issued a citation and ordered to stay off school property. He was not booked into the Williamson County jail.
According to Torroll, he suffers from an attention deficit disorder which he says affects his inability to resist certain sexual impulses, though none of which involve children.
"[Police] came here and looked [through my home]. There was nothing here. There was no child porn. I have two kids myself," he said.
Torroll also told detectives he teaches private music lessons from his home. He is not a teacher at Allendale Elementary School.
Eight drinks? Fucking lightweight.....
An 18-year-old was dismissed from the U.S. Ski Team's development squad after he was accused of getting drunk and then urinating on a fellow passenger aboard a JetBlue flight.
Robert "Sandy" Vietze, of Warren, Vt., was detained by police at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport on Wednesday morning after arriving on a red-eye flight from Portland, Ore.
He faces a federal misdemeanor charge of indecent exposure, according to the U.S. Attorney's office in Brooklyn.
"Based on the information we have, Sandy Vietze is in violation of the USSA code of conduct and team agreement, and has been dismissed from the team," U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association Executive Vice President of Athletics Luke Bodensteiner said in an email sent to The Associated Press on Friday.
The New Post reported that the splashed flier was a sleeping 11-year-old girl. The youngster was traveling with her sister and father on the flight, and had been left alone for a few minutes while the others used the lavatories. Vietze stumbled from his seat five rows behind her and emptied his bladder, a witness told the newspaper.
"I was drunk, and I did not realize I was pissing on her leg," Vietze said, according to law-enforcement sources. He later claimed to have consumed eight alcoholic beverages, the Post reports.

"FUCK YOU, OBAMA!!!!!" said the appeals panel
ATLANTA (AP) — A federal appeals panel struck down the centerpiece of President Barack Obama's sweeping health care overhaul Friday, moving the argument over whether Americans can be required to buy health insurance a step closer to the U.S. Supreme Court.
The divided three-judge panel of the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals concluded Congress overstepped its authority when lawmakers passed the so-called individual mandate, the first such decision by a federal appeals court. It's a stinging blow to Obama's signature legislative achievement, as most experts agree the requirement that Americans carry health insurance — or face tax penalties — is the foundation for other parts of the law.

Sony Hosted Obama Fundraiser, Releasing Bin Laden Movie Before Election
There may be an overtly political reason that moviegoers will be seeing the story of the Osama bin Laden raid just before they vote for president. Sony Pictures, the company distributing next year’s film, hosted a fundraiser for Barack Obama on their studio’s premises in California last April. So far, Sony is the only major studio to hold a political fundraiser this cycle. According to Deadline Hollywood, Sony will release the bin Laden movie, directed by Academy Award-winning director Kathryn Bigelow, on October 12, 2012–less than a month before the presidential election.
“The eyebrow does go up when you see the release date,” says Douglas Urbanski, a Hollywood producer and conservative radio talk show host. Urbanski said he believes Bigelow’s movie will be straightforward and apolitical, much like her 2009 war film The Hurt Locker (which won the Academy Award for Best Picture). But Sony’s decision to release the bin Laden movie just weeks before the election, he says, is most likely “very, very deliberate.”

I wonder if anybody else but him will get any kind of credit?
I'm thinking this is a movie that we all need to boycott.

And YOU are what's wrong with our politics, asshole.
NEW YORK (AP) — Aligning himself with a public fed up with economic uncertainty and Washington gridlock, President Barack Obama declared Thursday: "There is nothing wrong with our country. There is something wrong with our politics."
His toughly worded message — he said there was frustration in his voice, in case anyone missed the point — came amid a series of polls showing that people are disgusted with political dysfunction and are dispensing blame all around, including on Obama.
Obama aired his frustration with the ways of Washington at an event in Michigan before pivoting to his re-election campaign and a pair of big-money fundraisers in New York City.
Bite Me
I am not eloquent, I have no flowery words, I am what I am, and even as stupid as I am painted by this administration, even I know... spending more than you have... come on, there is not a red blooded American among us that can't see that this is wrong. But to blame those that DO pay, those that DO pay taxes for all the problems is "biting the hand that feeds you" and those that FEED might just change their minds. WE are responsible, WE are the only ones that pull OUR pants out of the fire. YOU need more monies cause you're spending more, fine go ahead, bankruptcy, but remember this, YOU are supposed to REPRESENT US, and we, WE are not bankrupt or corrupt, you are. Bite the hand a few more times the hand and the food.... is gone.
