Censorship and don't try to tell me different

VIDEO: Famous CNN/Ron Paul 'Censorship' Video: Was It Really 'Interference'?

Wednesday, January 04, 2012 – by Staff Report
You can see that they have the technology to make the feed "go bad " whenever they want. Please Re-post. This should END CNN as a network. Advertisers should boycott them and shut them down. ... 'Make note of this.' CNN says the reason for this was a failed satellite feed. When they come back to the newsroom if you look behind him on the left side there is another caucus feed that is likely using the same sat. uplink that is? grooving along just fine. This is bull--it. – From YouTube User solarpowerhome

Dominant Social Theme: Oops! That interference is tricky stuff.
Free-Market Analysis: So a handsome US vet – several tours in Afghanistan – starts to say on a CNN broadcast that he doesn't believe in an aggressive military stance abroad. He starts to say, in fact, that Israel is capable of taking care of itself when it comes to Iran.
He doesn't finish the statement, though. Instead, static interrupts his points and the interview is cut off. Wolf Blitzer explains that technical interference had prematurely ended the interview. You can see the video below.
Later on, Anderson Cooper circles back around to the incident, saying bluntly that "a lot of people online" probably believed that the incident was manufactured, followed by nervous laughter from all the analysts gathered round. You can see that video here (skittles2055's YouTube user channel, at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kfq3mLzAi-0):

  1. This guy is grade-A fucked anyway. Uniforms at political rallies, or any type of political function are prohibited anyway. Yea, CNN screwed the pooch on the coverage, but he shouldn't have been there any damn way.

Just one of the things a 10 year veteran should know. He's toast when his First Sgt. gets ahold of him.

  3. I'm with the anonymous guy.

Someone was probably trying to protect this dork. He was violating some serious regs by attending a rally and supporting a particular candidate IN HIS UNIFORM.

He can do it on his own, but as soon as he puts on that uniform, he's a representative of his branch of service.

  4. I don't think that they cut him off due to his views, as they sorta sound like the same views as most liberals in letting Israel fend for itself.

  5. Who gives a shit. Ron Paul is a whackjob. As for Israel, we get plenty of technology from that country in exchange for our aid, not least military and medical breakthroughs. It's a two-way street and Israel is a crucial ally in that part of the world.

Sorry if my opiniin offends anyone here, especially you, Wirecutter. I'm just goddamned tired of the "We shouldn't be supporting Israel" bullshit line.

  6. Naw, I'm not a Paul supporter either, but no candidate should suffer censorship.

Even Tam has recognized the futility of electing those of the establishment and rightly so.

  8. Well, I agree with you wholeheartedly there, Brock. There's not a politician out there that I support, though. I've been a registered American Independent since I can remember and I usually vote along party lines but they didn't put a candidate up this time around.
The ONLY thing I have against Ron Paul (but it's a biggie) is his stance on Iran. A video I saw him in has him saying that he would try to reconcile with Iran, a nation that has sworn to wipe us off the face of the earth and has done nothing but abuse us every chance they get, as well as providing funding to terrorist organizations to use against us.
But other than that, he would have my support.
His dedicated stance towards Constituionalism should be commended as well as his views on smaller government.

  9. And, in his defense on CNN, ran (swished?) Dan Choi, who also knows a few things about inappropriate wearing of the uniform.

Agreed. But as someone up there pointed out, odd that the media would choose to censor someone with the same point of view as the libtards...

I think the wheels fell off Paul's sanity car a long time ago, so I find it odd that he has as much support as he does.
