  1. That is an awesome cake!! Sitting here, deconstructing so I can try it next year. My only gripe is I HATE fondant! Like finishing a cake with Play-doh. Give me buttercream every time.

  2. As fucked up as this country is, and most likely it will get far worse,
the Flag still tugs at my heart and my eyes tear up at the thought of those who have fought/died and sacrificed for it.
I love this country for what it once fully stood for, not for what it has become.
This is not a day for politics but for sincere reflection on the words that founded this great nation. May she be great once again...
If it is called for I will gladly shed my blood to defend and restore what I hold so dear.
God Bless you all my friends; nay, Bothers and Sisters! Stand Tall and Proud this Day! For the Country in YOUR HEARTS is the Country of the Founders!!

  6. Traveled through northern NV and CA today. What a treat. As I circled Clear Lake, there was an older bearded dude in a jeep behind me for 30 miles. He had a rig set up with a flag as big as the jeep itself. As the sun was near the horizon over the lake, he was bathed in a warm glow - with the giant flag waving. I'm surprised I didn't get in a wreck because I couldn't stop looking back at this glorious sight. Everywhere I was today, folks were celebrating. Warms the heart!
