Obama/Romney. Either/Or. Same Ol' Shit.

Come November, the American people will be faced with two distinct options, reelect President Barack Obama or vote for Mitt Romney. The liberal Democrat and the Republican conservative seem to stand in stark contrast. They come from different backgrounds and have different views on most social issues like same-sex marriage, abortion, immigration. On the surface, Romney and Obama appear to be conflicting in ideas and ideals on all fronts. The popular perception is that Romney and Obama represent polices that are polar opposites of each other.
But this perception is absolutely false. In reality, when it comes to the most critical issues effecting America today like national debt, bank and corporate bailouts, monetary policy, foreign policy, military, civil liberties, Constitution, etc., the range of difference in their policies spans from non-existent to marginal.
Media wants you to think that this election is about abortion and gay marriage. It’s not.
As important as those issues are, clearly, the top three priorities for American people right now are the financial crisis, the unending wars and the erosion of our Constitution.

  1. You are right about the top 3 issues:
-Debt, topping 16 Trillion this week
-Wars, Iraq n Afghanistan no longer to our advantage
-Constitution, a document that is supposed to protect us from tyranny.

Romney is a better choice than Obama. I will not agree that they are equal. And when Romney gets into office, we will continue blogging and hold HIS feet to the fire. Can we get Obama and his flunkies out of the White House first?

Also, Republicans could possibly get a majority in the Senate. That puts us one step closer, at least in my dreams, of being able to address the top 3 issues. I don't know of any other way to get there.

There may be some yahoos that say hot war is the answer, but that is a pandora's box. Anything could happen, and there is a great likelihood we would end up with a worse system than we have right now.

  2. I look at it like this: Obama with NO CHANCE of being re-elected is more dangerous than a Romney who carries the Republican keys to power on his shoulders.

Meaning: Obama would be free to grab the far left dreams of gun control/environmental policies/marxist type laws he's dreamed about his whole life. That's scary.

Romney on the other hand would be constrained by the party's desire for long term power. Good and bad points.

But think of it like this: IF Romney wins and you are correct that it's he's about the same as far as fiscal/foreign and domestic policy are concerned. Then come 2016 someone like Rand Paul becomes PRIMARY 3rd party candidate and we will still have our guns.

If Obama wins, we're liable to be stuck with sticks and BB guns.

Just my way of looking at it.. do as you wish, no worries.

  4. Supreme Court Justice Eric Holder.

If that doesn't scare you, you are either fearless or stupid.

  5. I'll say the same thing I ask to the morons trying to shove the global warming/enviro crap down my throat. Where's the data? This blog can say all it want's but without documentation, it's just a bunch of crap as well. This is just another leftist tactic to confuse the enemy. But you will not be confused if you find the facts, and then weigh them pragmatically. It's this kind of shit that duped what were otherwise a whole bunch of rationally thinking folks I know into voting for barry. the facts were there, and they chose to drink the love Koolaid instead of thinking! The same thing happened in Germany in the thirties.

  6. Thanks Sarge!

There could be up to 4 additional SCOTUS appointments in the next 4 years. While I cannot say who Romney will appoint, I'm damn sure I do not want Obama to appoint anymore.

Imagine what he'd get done w/ a packed Court. Fuck Obama

  7. Sarthurk - Are you really calling me a Leftist? Are you fucking kidding me?
If you will take just a moment out of your busy day and do a little research on your own, you will see that everything in that article has been proven by his fucking voting record. Yes he did support the Patriot Act. Yes he did support the NDAA. Yes he did support the Assault Weapon Ban. You don't believe me? His voting record and every word he has utterred as a member of Congress is a matter of public record. I've checked it out. Obviously you haven't or you wouldn't accuse me of not doing it - you'd realize you were talking out of your asshole instead of your mouth.
Fuck you. Vote for your Saviour. Drink the same Kool-Aid (different flavor, though) as the Obamites did.
In 4 years come back and tell me that you have more freedom or that this country is returning to a Constitutional government.
