I'm glad I don't shoot a double stacked 9mm

Me and Lisa took off for a ride today, headed up to Mariposa and then wandered back home through the southern mines. You gotta understand that whenever I take off like this I never drive straight there or come straight home. I'm forever wandering on little side jaunts to check out shit that I discovered 30 years ago or something that somebody told me about months ago. I can turn a 30 mile trip into an all day affair without even trying. Let me put it this way: I once left the house for gas and ended up in Salt Lake City a couple of days later.
You can see what I mean about today. We started out where the little man is and headed southeast along the bottom route and returned home on the other one.

Anyways, after being in the jap car for a few hours my ass was beginning to fucking ache, below my belt line and my left ass cheek. Fucking sciatica acting up. Or so I thought until I got to the Savemart right before we got home and I reached for my wallet and ran across my reload in my back pocket. Two hundred miles sitting on a loaded 45 magazine......

  2. Sorry to hear about the pain in the ass....

Yep, I hear ya on that tour thingy. My dream is to follow Route 66 from Detroit to the coast and stopping at every little tourist trap. My wife blanches when I mention that trip.

  5. I am guessing you wrear dungarees like Levis or another brand with back pockets located like Levis and it sounds like the wallet is in your back pocket. Maybe the mag added to it but I would bet so too did the wallet.

My ass and hips and sciatic nerve down my left leg used to bother me terribly. For years I thought it was a result of a bad disc that had been surgically removed in the late 80s. But then it started to hurt on both sides often. I figured maybe another disc was out pressing on both sides. This went on for years. Then one of my docs noticed I wore Levis and asked were I carried my wallet. I had two, a regular one and a badge wallet. One in each back pocket. The doc told me a major complaint of truck drivers was of the same symptoms as mine. Everyone one of them he had examined had worn Levis or jeans with back pockets located like Levi's has them. I got rid of one wallet, one side got better. I started to wear looser pants with a different style of back pocket and then started to wear BDUs and put the wallet in front cargo pocket. It took a while but worked like fucking magic. I still get a bit of that pain while driving, probably because I still carry a retiree's badge wallet (not for long though because it is just too thick) and sometimes keep it in my back pocket. Yet, when I take it out and throw it on the seat, the pain disappears before the ride is over. It is not anywhere as severe as it used to be and I am guessing all because I hardly ever keep my wallet in an ass pocket when driving nowadays.
