Eric's coyote

This is proof enough for me that those coyotes on the east coast (Eric's from Georgia) have been breeding with wolves - I've never seen a coyote with that variation of colors in it's coat.

I don't know much about coyotes, but couldn't the color difference also be from breeding with dogs? german shepards have similar coat colors.

Could be part dog. I've seen coyotes here in Utah that were almost all black, a color not found in them in nature.
When I was a kid in Las Vegas we had a fox terrier bitch that had a litter of coyotes; they looked like coyotes, but had odd coloring.
