Fuck the NRA for the second time today

But LaPierre in his remarks Friday made clear that the NRA would support a different kind of national database:
“How many more copycats are waiting in the wings for their moment of fame from a national media machine that rewards them with wall-to-wall attention and a sense of identity that they crave, while provoking others to try to make their mark? A dozen more killers, a hundred more? How can we possibly even guess how many, given our nation’s refusal to create an active national database of the mentally ill?”

So what would the criteria be for your database, asshole? Who would determine what constitutes mental illness? Are you willing to leave that decision up to the government? Are you advocating that Doctor/Patient confidentiality be thrown out the window? Would my stance against the government be considered paranoia? Lots of questions here, bud.

Would I be on that list? I take a low dose of a mood elevator and I take a half dose of a prescription sleep aid to help me stay asleep at night. Would that make me mentally ill?
I don't take the mood elevator because I'm prone to rage - I started taking it when I was going through a divorce several years ago and I found that I like my personality better when I'm taking it so I continued to take it by my own choice. My doctor wanted to take me off of it when my ex was finally out of my life but I have a Type A personality and with the Lexapro, I find I don't sweat the small shit. It makes life easier on me, not everybody else so I chose to continue to take it.
I've never been committed to a behavioral health center, I've never seen a psychologist or psychiatrist yet I can guarantee you that there are more than a few lawmakers that would say that I shouldn't be allowed to own firearms because of mental illness due to the medications I take.

  1. What's with these fucks (NRA)? They're throwing the ball to TSA/Homeland Security....databases, armed people/guards in schools? Sounds like a job for big Sis eh?!! Why don't we just move all schools to FEMA camps...the adults will follow/commit willingly to stay with the kids and feel safe. Homeland Security can wrap this all up in a week or two. Hey, NRA why the fuck don't you do something meaningful for the fucked up education system instead of opting for more pregressive BS!

  2. NRA (National Registration Agency) These guys have been secretly pushing "common sense" gun laws and gun registration for decades! A long time ago, I was a member for only one year. Then I saw them for their true colors.

I am forever sorry that they ever got a single penny from me. So now the NRA wants to violate HIPPA!!! They continue to do whatever the .gov tells them to do and say. F@(K the NRA!!!

  3. If we leave it to the NRA, the only place the average American will be able to see a gun will be at the NRA museum.

But they'll still be raking in the bucks.

I'll say it again, for the cheap seats: the NRA is not your friend.

Join the GOA and JPFO. (The Second Amendment Foundation is fairly good, too, but they are getting as bad as the NRA with their weekly request for donations and dues.)

  4. The last time a database of "mental defectives and other undesirables" was set up, Hitler marched 13 million people into ovens and open trenches.

  5. Got news for you. With obamacare, Dr./Pt. confidentiality no longer exists.
No doubt Drs. who snitch on their patients will have no problem getting their Medicare reimbursements on time.
