Google Earth and the A Shau Valley

I love to read. I don't read everything I can get my hands on, for example science fiction - I need some basis of reality. One of my favorite subjects is the Vietnam war - I read almost anything I run across about that particular conflict. Why not? I went in shortly after it ended so I understand the weapons and tactics, and I've heard war stories all my life from Pops and his friends as well as from friends of my own after I went in.

Anyways, in every fucking book I've read, there's been an air strike and arc lights (carpet bombing by B-52s) are described as leaving a swath of destruction "2 miles long and 6 city blocks wide". That's a lot fucking damage and disruption, man.

Now I'm also a big fan of Google Earth and it's not unusual to see me reading a book and using my laptop at the same time so I can get a fairly detailed birds' eye view of the area concerned.
I've got stickpins all over Vietnam marking different battles, locations of Fire Support Bases, cities, all kinds of interesting-to-me shit.
Sometimes it's kind of difficult to find a specific site though. GIs didn't always use the correct spelling of a town in their books or it's been obliterated or it's a region known by it's nickname (Iron Triangle or Ho Bo Woods for example) and when that happens I generally rely on clues from several sources.
Take the A Shau valley, for instance. Hamburger Hill was a pretty famous battle fought just north of it, but try and find that valley on Google Earth if you don't have any idea where it's located. I found it using descriptions from several different books written by Forward Air Controllers and SF and Ranger recon members.
Okay, hang on. I'm fixin' to tie air strikes and arc lights and Google Earth and the A Shau valley all together in a nice package and then show you some pictures.

Okay. So I kept hearing about all this air damage to Vietnam so I go to GE and find some rural areas that I know were hot hot hot areas and I zoom in looking for evidence of bomb craters. Nothing. I go to Hanoi and I look all around bridges and railroad marshalling yards, all prime targets. Again, nothing. Okay, I'm not real fucking stupid - I know that urban damage was rebuilt and rural bomb craters were grown over but damn, with all the iron we dropped over the years you'd think I'd be able to find at least one fucking hole in the ground. Shit, when I was a kid in Germany we used to play army in real shell holes and bomb craters in the woods. If a developed country like Germany still has 'em, how come I can't find any in shithole Vietnam?

Wait a minute. The A Shau was remote and got the shit bombed out of it over and over.

The A Shau. Stronghold of the Enemy. It was a rare recon team that stayed undetected for it's entire mission. With a valley floor that was said to be flat and almost manicured to steep hillsides surrounding it, said to be the home of dragons.
Spooky shit, man.

So I go to the A Shau and started zooming in. Bomb craters? Holy fucking shit. Keep in mind that the majority of those craters could swallow your house. And this is just a small piece of the valley floor.

DETROIT — A federal judge on Tuesday gutted the government’s case against seven members of a Michigan militia, dismissing the most serious charges in an extraordinary defeat for federal authorities who insisted they had captured homegrown rural extremists poised for war.
U.S. District Judge Victoria Roberts said the members’ expressed hatred of law enforcement didn’t amount to a conspiracy to rebel against the government. The FBI had secretly planted an informant and an FBI agent inside the Hutaree militia starting in 2008 to collect hours of anti-government audio and video that became the cornerstone of the case.
“The court is aware that protected speech and mere words can be sufficient to show a conspiracy. In this case, however, they do not rise to that level,” the judge said on the second anniversary of raids and arrests that broke up the group.
Roberts granted requests for acquittal on the most serious charges: conspiring to commit sedition, or rebellion, against the U.S. and conspiring to use weapons of mass destruction. Other weapons crimes tied to the alleged conspiracies also were dismissed.
“The judge had a lot of guts,” defense attorney William Swor said. “It would have been very easy to say, ‘The heck with it,’ and hand it off to the jury. But the fact is she looked at the evidence, and she looked at it very carefully.”

The trial, which began Feb. 13, will resume Thursday with only a few gun charges remaining against militia leader David Stone and son Joshua Stone, both from Lenawee County, Mich. They have been in custody without bond for two years.
Prosecutors said Hutaree members were anti-government rebels who combined training and strategy sessions to prepare for a violent strike against federal law enforcement, triggered first by the slaying of a police officer.
But there never was an attack. Defense lawyers said highly offensive remarks about police and the government were wrongly turned into a high-profile criminal case that drew public praise from U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, who in 2010 called Hutaree a “dangerous organization.”
David Stone’s “statements and exercises do not evince a concrete agreement to forcibly resist the authority of the United States government,” Roberts said Tuesday. “His diatribes evince nothing more than his own hatred for — perhaps even desire to fight or kill — law enforcement; this is not the same as seditious conspiracy.”
U.S. Attorney Barbara McQuade declined to comment. Two years ago, when militia members were arrested, she said it was time to “take them down.”
The FBI had put a local informant, Dan Murray, inside the militia in 2008 and paid him $31,000. An FBI agent from New Jersey also was embedded. Steve Haug, known as “Jersey Steve,” posed as a trucker and spent months secretly recording talks with Stone. He even served as Stone’s best man at his wedding, a celebration with militia members wearing military fatigues.
Haug repeatedly talked to Stone about building pipe bombs and getting other sophisticated explosives. The FBI rented a warehouse in Ann Arbor where the agent would invite him and others to store and discuss weapons.
Haug told jurors he was “shocked” by Stone’s knowledge of explosives, noting it matched some of his own instruction as a federal agent.
Stone was recorded saying he was willing to kill police and even their families. He considered them part of a “brotherhood” — a sinister global authority that included federal law enforcers and United Nations troops.
He had bizarre beliefs: Stone suspected Germany and Singapore had aircraft stationed in Texas, and thousands of Canadian troops were poised to take over Michigan. He said the government put computer chips in a flu vaccine.
He had a speech prepared for a regional militia gathering in Kentucky in 2010, but bad weather forced him and others to return to Michigan. Instead, he read it in the van while a secret camera installed by the FBI captured the remarks.
“It is time to strike and take our nation back so that we may be free again from tyranny,” Stone said. “Time is up, God bless all of you and welcome to the new revolution.”
Swor said Stone is a Christian who was bracing for war against the Antichrist.
“This is not the United States government. This is Satan’s army,” Swor told the judge Monday, referring to the enemy.
Militia members cleared of all charges were Stone’s wife, Tina Stone, and his son, David Stone Jr.; Thomas Piatek of Whiting, Ind.; Michael Meeks of Manchester, Mich.; and Kris Sickles of Sandusky, Ohio.
“It’s hard to believe it’s over,” said Tina Stone, crying as she spoke by phone. “Thank God we live in a country where we do have freedom of speech.”
Joshua Clough of Blissfield, Mich., pleaded guilty to a weapons charge in December and awaits his sentence. Jacob Ward of Huron, Ohio, will have a separate trial.

SANFORD — Miami Gardens teenager Trayvon Martin was suspended from school in October in an incident in which he was found in possession of women’s jewelry and a screwdriver that a schools security staffer described as a “burglary tool,” The Miami Herald has learned.
Trayvon, who claimed that an unnamed friend had given him the jewelry, was not disciplined because of the discovery, but was instead suspended for graffiti, according to a Miami-Dade Schools Police report obtained by The Miami Herald.
A lawyer for the dead teen’s family acknowledged Trayvon had been suspended for graffiti, but said the family knew nothing about the jewelry and the screwdriver, calling the information in the report an attempt to “demonize” the youth.
According to the report, on Oct. 21 staffers monitoring a security camera at Dr. Michael M. Krop Senior High School spotted Trayvon and two other students writing “W.T.F.,” an acronym for “What the f—,” on a hallway locker, according to schools police. The security employee, who knew Trayvon, confronted the teen and looked through his bag for the graffiti marker.
Trayvon’s backpack contained 12 pieces of jewelry, in addition to a watch and a large flathead screwdriver, according to the report, which described the screwdriver as a burglary tool.
Trayvon was asked if the jewelry, which was mostly women’s rings and earrings, belonged to his family or a girlfriend.
“Martin replied it’s not mine. A friend gave it to me,” according to the report. Trayvon declined to name the friend.
School police impounded the jewelry and sent photos of the items to detectives at Miami-Dade police for further investigation.
“Martin was suspended, warned and dismissed for the graffiti,” according to the report prepared by Miami-Dade Schools Police.
That suspension was followed four months later by another one, in February, in which Trayvon was caught with an empty plastic bag with traces of marijuana in it, the boy’s family’s attorney has confirmed. A schools police report obtained by The Miami Herald specifies two items: a bag with marijuana residue and a “marijuana pipe.”

I try and remain civil during most of our diatribes, if for nothing else than just to remain "nice". But then there's times that try my patience and I have to go off about one thing or another. I'm pretty close to going off. Yet the things I'm going to present both 1) need to be discussed and 2) need to be researched to discover the end result to you and your family. Let's get started.

Sweden is an odd country. I went there when I was just 16 on a trip with my Uncle who basically smuggled me along on one of his air force jaunts. He was a lifer in the AF, and had attained quite a rank. So when he asked if I wanted to see Stockholm, and Gutenborg, etc I was thrilled. Here I was, 16.. going to the land of Gorgeous blonde haired girls, in a far away place.

I enjoyed the trip immensely, and came away with something of a confused feeling about it all. I was expecting to see descendants of Vikings or at least some form of overtly manly attitude. I saw neither. Even that far back ( the 70's) it was clear Sweden was not a whole lot different than say.. Minnesota.

Well it seems Sweden is the poster child for the ultra socialist society. Not long ago there were a few couples in the news from Sweden who are bringing up their children "neutral" meaning if it's a boy they don't just buy GI Joes and toy hammers. They buy Dolls and Easy bake ovens. This way the child can decide if it wants to be a boy or a girl when it grows up. I find that pretty bizarre, but then again...most of the things the socialists and far left folks do, are pretty hard for me to understand.

But we also see the Swedes going full tilt with a "cashless" society. In a very short span of time, the concept of carrying cash around will be gone. Now the reasons they state are all the same touchy feely baloney you always get when the left is trying to sell their agenda.."it will be safer", "it's faster" Etc. Here's a direct quote.. "Less cash in circulation makes things safer, both for the staff that handle cash, but also of course for the public," says Par Karlsson, a security expert at the organization.

But let me ask the question. Is a cashless society really safer? Don't we hear commercials each and every day how identification theft has cleaned out tens of billions from peoples accounts and ruined their credit? We do. What would you rather do, hand over your wallet with 100 bucks or hand over your banking records with 100 grand in it?

But when you drill down, you get to the real reason any Government would push a cashless society. Control. Absolute knowledge of where you were, what you bought, how much you spent, and most importantly.. how much you paid in taxes. See folks, there's the golden goose. If all payments are digital, you can't work under the table for your fathers friend for a few bucks. If your records say you make 40 grand and taxes take 20 from you ( in Sweden taxes are 49% of gdp) what happens if they see you buying things that would take a 100K salary? They come get you.

Next of course is the "tie in". See, I continue to tell you all that Government is nothing without their master bankers. Along with the digital cash, each and every transaction brings along with it an 80 cent charge. Not only that.. but the Swedish Government says "you cannot pass that charge on to the consumer". How lovely. So, you buy a newspaper for a buck fifty and you have to cough up 80 more cents to a bank.

Banks and Government. The ultimate con. The banks get to charge you and there's no way around it and the Government knows what all the serfs are doing because they have a record of every transaction. A cashless society is the socialists dream, the dictators dream. The one world Government folks are orgasmic over it.

As you can guess, I'm not much in favor of Uncle Sam knowing each and all things about our business. If I want to give the neighbor girl 20 bucks to watch the kids while the wife and I go to a movie, I don't think Uncle has any right what so ever to know about it, or to keep watch on the girl. It's big brother gone mad. It's control. Remember, if you're in a total cashless society.. and they decide you're a bad person and switch off your account.. how do you live? How do you eat? They can bend you any way they want.

I'm not a bad guy. I pay my taxes, I have no issue supporting our Government. It does have functions over and above the state level. Fine. But once I pay you the appropriate percent of my income, what I do with the rest is my business.. not yours.

But Uncle and his buddies in Corporate and at the bankster level want to know each and every thing about you. Well guess what? Do you have an android phone? Because everything you key into it is being sent to the snoopers. I imagine it's being done with Iphones too, but I'm not sure since I cannot prove it. But I have a video here I'd like you to watch about how Carrier IQ software secretly installed on millions of mobile phones reports most everything a user does on a phone.

See, an android developer did some tests on this thing. He tried to shut it off. He couldn't. They said at Carrier it didn't actually read the texts ( you'll see on the video that Carrier captures each and every text message..word for word) They said it was for general information.

Baloney.. you're being watched folks. Every time you plug in a number or a text, it's being sent to an eyeball in the sky, before you even hit the send button! That's right.. they get it before your intended caller does. Watch this video.

Excuse me? This "panel" that really isn't part of the UN proper, wants to spend 100 billion a year as they please, telling sovereign nations what they MUST do, and they don't want any responsibility from legal challenges, judicial systems.. nada. In other words they get absolute control over what YOU must do about carbon.. and if you challenge them.. no one can help you.

The European union was the "one world Government" trial balloon. That unholy alliance of all those different "tribes" placed under one economic plan was the trial. If it worked with such varied people, it would work world wide. As we see now, it didn't work. But Europe and the Scandinavian countries are always the test beds for such socialist ideals.

Consider this for a moment. Why did Ron Paul do so very well in the debates? While most mocked him as the crazy old uncle, he always got the best applause. He often made the most sense. Why? Because while no one has to agree with everything he's about, his bottom line was about more individual liberty. It was such a breath of fresh air the younger folks were amazed by him. The Servicemen were for him.

Tell me something you see in your nightly news about individual liberty. Tell me what you hear from the Liberals about individual responsibility. Tell me when you've heard the libs say that everyone should work hard, and get ahead. Instead you hear about how they need more programs. When the media refuses to tell you the truth, is that Liberty? No it's not. As much as I don't give to rats butts about whether Obama is legally able to be President because of where he was born, why hasn't the Media covered Sheriff Arpaio's "proof" that the birth Certificate Obama put out is bogus? Why haven't they aired the "proof" that his selective service card is faked? Is that Liberty? OF course not. So, the media is complicit with the Corporates and the Socialists that do as they please.

Every single day, I see something that rattles me to the core. From seemingly innocent stuff like shutting down folks feeding the homeless because it's not "approved" food, to bigger stuff like MF Global losing a billion dollars, more than half of which was customer funds. When put on the stand in front of Congress, that lying scumbag Corzine said he had no idea where the money went, he wasn't involved and certainly didn't tell anyone to comingle client funds with the company funds. He swore to it.

Now of course we see late Friday after the market closed... ooops. There appears to be proof that not only did he know about it.. he ordered it. This right here is according to Bloomberg..

I have a point here folks. I've been putting out some form of market letter since 1995. My bar napkin math says that's about 17 years. In those years there's been a few Presidential Elections. For the most part, I never said much about the candidates. I did have some Issues with Gore and his environmental views, but overall I have been quiet.

Not this time. This election coming up has NOTHING to do with the ECONOMY. NOTHING. Sure that's the big headlines, everyone is looking at the jobs picture and the economy. That's why it was so easy to tell you all in January that ALL the economic numbers would magically appear brighter. They're fudging them for Obama. This isn't conspiracy, this is fact. I show you the facts each week.

No, this election is the very last chance we have at stopping the ever bolder expansion of socialist ideals in a Country based on individual Liberty. From his Socialized medicine, to his hatred of industry, to his Nazi-like EPA, to his Man made global warming, to his expansions of give away's, to you name it... Obama stands for the folks that want the US to be Europe. There are many of them.

But Europe is what our founders RAN AWAY FROM. They'd been there, done that. They wanted something new, something different. They wanted something unique called Liberty. Well, I'm sure that you all know.. it succeeded. Was it perfect? Of course not. But it was the best thing ever seen. People risked their lives and still do, to get here. Now the "improvers", the Socialists, the educated.. want us to adopt the European systems. High unemployment, crushing taxes, red tape as far as you can see.

They are spying on us. I just showed you. They want to take your cash away, so they know every step of your life. They still hate the idea that you can drive a gasoline vehicle and want you on a bike. They want to control how you heat your home. They want to control every aspect of your life from Cradle to grave. Is that the future you want?

Ron Paul cannot win the election. Thus I have to go with whom ever the Republicans toss up there. Not because I like Romney, I simply have no choice. I also don't think he can fix half of what he says he's going to do. I don't care of that. What I care about is maybe, just maybe we can stop the intrusion of the socialists into my life. Maybe just put the brakes on it for a while. Then Maybe we can get spy's out of our cell phones. Maybe we can use the oil and gas we have under our feet and tell the Arab world to shove it. Maybe we can stand on our feet again and build a factory without worrying about endangering the wooly moth.

I hate politics folks. But I hate every make believe bureaucrat making rules about my life even more. I'm getting to that point in my life where I'm willing to say, "hey, if you want European Socialism, then go to Europe". But.. if you want Government out of your life, and want to work hard, produce, make money and enjoy life.. welcome aboard. It worked for us for a long time. I'd like to have those times back.

I'll finish this up with just a sad commentary on what's happened in this country. Romney addressed a girl in the crowd at a recent rally and handed her the mic... she says "so your all about freedom and all this and happiness, well ya know what would make me happy???? Free birth control"...

I couldn't believe what I heard. The youth of our nation have NO CLUE about what's really going on, and free birth control is something important to them. Oh My God. But Romney really made my day with one single sentence. "hey if you're looking for more free stuff, vote for the other guy".

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) —The reward for killing a coyote in Utah will more than double though a law Gov. Gary Herbert has signed.
Herbert signed Senate bill 245 during a ceremony at an archery shop in Salt Lake City on Saturday.
Republican bill sponsor Sen. Ralph Okerlund of Monroe says the current $20 bounty on coyotes will become $50 with the signing of the bill.
Okerlund says coyotes present a serious threat to mule deer as well as livestock.
Utah Division of Wildlife Resources mammals coordinator John Shivik says coyotes can cause problems but a bounty is inefficient for protecting wildlife.
The Utah Humane Society opposed the proposal because they say a bounty encourages the needless killing of coyotes and traps could threaten house pets

MARCH 26 (TSG) — The mother of Trayvon Martin has filed two applications to secure trademarks containing her late son’s name, records show.
Sabrina Fulton is seeking marks for the phrases “I Am Trayvon” and “Justice for Trayvon,” according to filings made last week with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. In both instances, Fulton is seeking the trademarks for use on “Digital materials, namely, CDs and DVDs featuring Trayvon Martin,” and other products.
The March 21 USPTO applications, each of which cost $325, were filed by an Orlando, Florida law firm representing Fulton.
Martin, 17, was shot to death last month during a confrontation with George Zimmerman, a 28-year-old neighborhood watch captain. Martin, pictured above, was visiting his father’s home in Sanford, Florida when he was shot to death by Zimmerman, who has claimed that he was acting in self-defense.

A newly found photo that appears to have been taken by the White House itself shows that Michelle Obama last month conducted a sweaty workout session in the East Room as part of an appearance she will make on TV’s “The Biggest Loser.”
The ornate and historic East Room is a national treasure that has been used for events like presidential press conferences, command performances by the world’s greatest musicians, the signing of historic legislation like the 1964 Civil Rights Act, shimmering White House parties, presidential awards of military and civilian honors, and the funeral of Abraham Lincoln.

SEOUL, South Korea - At the tail end of his 90 minute meeting with Russian President Dmitri Medvedev Monday, President Obama said that he would have "more flexibility" to deal with controversial issues such as missile defense, but incoming Russian President Vladimir Putin needs to give him "space."

The exchange was picked up by microphones as reporters were let into the room for remarks by the two leaders.

The exchange:
President Obama: On all these issues, but particularly missile defense, this, this can be solved but it's important for him to give me space.
President Medvedev: Yeah, I understand. I understand your message about space. Space for you…
President Obama: This is my last election. After my election I have more flexibility.
President Medvedev: I understand. I will transmit this information to Vladimir.

Me and Miss Lisa was driving down the road talking about our upcoming nuptials, actually we we're laughing about it and she turned to me and said "You know what, this is becoming a fucking circus. You know anybody with a monkey?"
From there it went to hiring a clown, the Monster School Bus (see the earlier post), maybe getting one of those little clown cars and hire about 15 illegals to pile out of it because they're good at hiding in confined spaces, maybe a petting zoo but without the goats because we don't want any muslims crashing the wedding. After the illegals get finished doing the yard, maybe we can grease CharlieGodammit down with bacon grease and watch the kids try to catch him out there. Hell, we can even have a couple cockfights out in the backyard.

If the shit were to really get out of control over this (and I don't think it will) and rioting was 2 blocks away, you won't find me there. Nossir. But when it comes up to my doorstep, I'll be blowing motherfuckers down no matter what their skin color is - black, brown, white, or purple. If Brotherman Jerome was to call saying his house was surrounded by a white mob, you wanna guess who's side I'm going to be on?

I may be drawn into it, but it'll be after a decision based on facts and survival, not race.

The old boy that owns it uses it to raise money for charity - March of Dimes and local private and charter schools - and has raised over a million bucks in the past 6 or 7 years selling rides, photo-ops and die cast models.
If he really wanted to bring in the bucks he should have bicycle helmets, knee and elbow pads and restraints as props for the photo-ops - hell, I'd have felt right at home then.

SANFORD, Fla. (WOFL Fox 35) — The New Black Panther Party came back to Sanford with a vengeance, the shouted “black power” and “Justice for Trayvon,” rallying at the memorial near the scene where Trayvon martin was shot and killed, they didn’t hold back their anger.
“It’s time for us as black men, to take justice in our own hands,” said Mikhail Muhammad of the New Black Panther Party.
The panthers say they plan to recruit 10,000 men to search for George Zimmerman and arrest him.
“We want to search, mobilize, organize for the capture of George Zimmerman and we will bring him to justice,” said Muhammad.
Their message was offensive and violent at times.
“You kill mine, God D***it, I’ve got to kill yours,” said Muhammad.
They cursed and lashed out at Zimmerman, Sanford Police and even the special prosecutor Angela Corey.

PEORIA, Ariz. (AP) — Authorities say there's been a series of unprovoked coyote bites in Peoria over the past few days.
The Arizona Game and Fish Department says three people in the Vistancia community have been bitten in a 24-hour period. None of the victims suffered serious injuries.
Authorities say a woman was bitten on the ankle by a coyote while she was resting on her back porch Monday evening.
Two other people were bitten while also on their porches Tuesday afternoon. A woman was bitten on the chest while reclining in a chair and a man was bitten on a leg.
Game and Fish officials say the biting incidents likely stem from territorial behavior by adult coyotes protecting their young.
However, they say cases of coyotes biting humans are rare in Maricopa County

How I got here

Over the past couple of years I’ve had several nosey fuckers ask me what caused me to have the political views that I have today, what made me decide to have a blog, shit like that.
I gave the nosey fuckers the standard answer - “Fuck if I know” but it has got me to wondering the same thing.

I got to make something clear here first - Nosey fuckers are okay as long as you don’t get up too much in my business. Shit like this I don’t mind because it’s natural to wonder about other folks, especially when it’s somebody that you can relate to. I don’t make no bones about it - I work for a living and face the same damned struggles you do. You can relate.
When you start getting too personal, you’ll know because I’ll tell you to fuck off, block your email and send CharlieGodammit over to buttfuck your poodle.

Okay, we’ll tackle the easy shit first. Why did I start blogging?
Because I was bored. And on a 3 year drunk. Seriously, I discovered non-political humor blogs and thought it would be cool. Started this fucker out as a humor/life story blog and evolved into this. Magic shit, man.
Okay, that takes care of that.

My politics. Fuck……. I honestly don’t know. I wasn’t raised in a political family, matter of fact I can’t remember politics ever being discussed in my house when I was a kid. Pops was a professional Soldier and acted as such. But being raised in a military household did instill a Patriotic spirit in me. You old Soldiers remember - having to stop and salute the flagpole at 1700 hrs even if you weren‘t within eyesight, the National Anthem being played before every movie, stuff like that. But as a young teenager in the early 70s I was a fucking hippie - Peace, Love, Dope. A Patriotic hippie - that’s some seriously confused shit, man.

After we come out here to California when Pops had enough of the peacetime Army and retired, I hung out for a few months working construction and green-breaking wild BLM horses for Darrel D until I got tired of getting stomped by bigger construction workers and meaner mustangs. Fuck that, I joined the army and got my young ass out of Dodge.

After my completely Honorable (had to throw that out there so there’s no doubt) discharge in ‘81, I still was completely oblivious to politics and got myself into a lifestyle that I can’t figure out today. Let me attempt to describe it to you: I was working at Riverbank Army Ammunition Plant 60-80 hours a week, seriously into redneck shit like bass fishing, guns, ghost towns and the ultimate hippie scene, The Grateful Dead. I hit every Dead show within 300 miles for 10 years, not missing a single one. If you don’t know about the Dead, they had a tribe of hippies that followed them everywhere, setting up camp around their venues and just doing the 60s hippie life. I was completely at home there, getting loaded, listening to the music and enjoying the sights. So yeah, I guess technically I was a hippie - one that went through 400-500 rounds of ammo a week and worked in a fucking bomb factory.

But I still was Patriotic. I still got that chill when I saw my Flag. I actually trusted my government. I voted every election. I went gun shows and was exposed to political literature. I saw a booth that had patriotic stuff like flags and banners and shit and was drawn there. I picked a copy of the “Turner Diaries” and stuck it in my bag. After I got home I started reading it, maybe got a quarter of the way through it before I got sick of the racist hatred I was reading and threw the book in the garbage. I was disgusted that the white supremacists had hijacked the term “Patriot”.

I got married and spent the next 16 years to busy fighting and arguing with my ex to pay much attention to what was going on beyond my front door. Coincidentally, my marriage and the American political system gave up the ghost at the same time - 2008. I filed for divorce and the american sheeple elected Obama as President of the Untied States.

I seriously can’t think of any single event in the past four years that turned me into a prepper or a III Percent Patriot. Once I actually started paying attention to politics I started getting more and more outraged at the bullshit that was being shoved down our throats. I mean, ObamaCare was a big one. That was a fucking fiasco, financially and politically. Pelosi saying that we had to pass the bill so we can see what’s in it, all of our elected officials tripping over Obama’s nutsack. Then there were all the czars that Obama was appointing, Van Jones being the biggest outrage.
I can go on and on about the things that piss me off about the Obama administration but you’ve heard it all before. What really pisses me off is #1 the elected officials that worship the kenyan and #2 the fucking people in this country that keep electing them into office!

Over the years I’ve found a bunch of prepper and Patriot sites and realized that Holy Shit, there are people like me out there! And we got the Patriot name back from the racists! Yay!


I’ve always stockpiled stuff and as far as ammo goes, I enjoy reloading and I buy my supplies in bulk. I can’t ever remember NOT having a shitload of ammo or 5-10 pounds of gunpowder in the house.
Same thing with food. I never did it on purpose but I’ve always had a good supply of food on hand.


As far as expressing my opinion here, it was just a natural progression. If I’ve got a venue and an audience, I’m fucking talking. Yeah, I know there are other eyes out there that aren’t friendly and yeah, I know I’m probably known by the Powers-that-wannabe.
I could’ve done the grey-man thing except for a couple of things. I ain’t that way and it’s fucking time to stand up and be counted.
It's time to let the powers know that we're sick and tired of the fucking abuses that our Constitution and Bill of Rights has endured. We're tired of Big Government and we're sick and fucking tired of government intrusion in our private lives.

Yes, I am armed and well stocked. No, I will not submit. Yes, I am willing to give my life to defend my Freedoms. There it is. Count me in, motherfuckers. Let’s dance.

What would happen if a black man armed with a handgun confronted "suspicious persons" in his neighborhood? What would happen if the "suspicious persons" were unarmed white teens, one of them was shot dead, and the shooter claimed self-defense?

There would be no Federal civil rights investigation by the Justice Department. There would be no comments from a president who seems congenitally unable to keep his mouth shut on matters involving left-wing political correctness. And there would be no national media attention from biased, left-wing "reporters."
We know this because in fact, such an event occurred in 2009 in Greece, N.Y., a suburb of Rochester. Roderick Scott, a black man, shot and killed an unarmed white teen, Christopher Cervini, whom he believed was burglarizing a neighbor's car, with a licensed .40 cal. handgun.

Zimmerman was on the ground being punched when he shot Trayvon Martin
Last weekend in the city of Chicago alone, gangbangers slaughtered ten people and wounded another forty. The youngest fatality is only six years old. The youngest person wounded is only one-year-old. Many of the victim were pedestrians sprayed with bullets in drive by shootings. The national news has said nothing about this.
So why does one shooting in Florida warrant weeks of national news? Why has there been thousands of articles a day, for the last four days, about one single shooting?
Almost all of the news items about George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin contains a combination of false statements, opinions presented as facts, transparent distortions, and a complete absence of some of the most relevant details. Almost all news items are written soley from the point of view of the grieving family. The media also fills their articles with outdated baby-faced pictures of Trayvon. Very few include that he was a towering 6'2” football player. Is the media really reporting the news, or is this classic agitation/propaganda to advance a political agenda.


Literally thousands of articles contain at least one false statement in the first couple of lines. They usually read "George ZImmerman, a white man," or "shoot by a white man." Zimmerman is described by family as a multiracial Hispanic. His appearance is clearly that of a Latino/Mestizo individual. However, the media wants him to be white because that better fits the political narrative they are trying to artificially create. Many news articles have also claimed the neighborhood is "mostly white." This is also a lie. The neighborhood is only 49% white. It is over half non-white.
All the way back on February 27th, the local Orlando Fox station interviewed the witness who dialed 911. Almost none of the thousands of articles since have mentioned any of the details described by the witness. Some, however, have attributed false statements to this witness. On March 16th, the Sanford police department released new details to the Orlando Sentinel. Once again, these details have been ignored or changed by the media.

1. The witness reports that George Zimmerman was on the ground and Trayvon is on top of him punching him.
2. The witness says that George Zimmerman was screaming and yelling for help.
3. Police arrive and find Zimmerman bleeding on his face and the back of his head. He also has had grass stains on his back. All this confirms the story told by Zimmerman and the witness.
4. Police play the 911 tape for Trayvon Martin's father, who tells police that the voice screaming is not the voice of his son.

The neighborhood this took place in has seen a lot of crime. Would you be surprised to learn that there were eight burglaries, nine thefts, and a shooting just in the past year? In fact, the local homeowners' association reports that George Zimmerman actually caught one thief and aided in the apprehension of other criminals. The Miami Herald wrote about this on March 17th. None of the thousands of articles and cable news segments that came after, thought this was important.
In fact the Miami Herald goes on to interview neighbor, Ibrahim Rashada, who is black. Rashada ​confirms that there has been a lot of crime in the neighborhood and indicates to the reporter that the perpetrators are usually black.
The media also characterizes Trayvon as a "model student." In fact, he under a five day suspension when the shooting took place. That is why he was staying at a house so far from his school on a school night. A laywer for Trayvon's family has blocked access to his school records. However, you have to do something pretty bad to get suspended for five days.
Now that you know the suppressed facts of the case, you can for form a better more balanced opinion. Maybe you still think Zimmerman was wrong to pull the trigger. However, I think you will come to the conclusion that the "mainstream" clearly is pushing an agenda. Even when they have to grossly alter and adjust a story to fit that agenda.

I'm seriously thinking that the one invention that changed the lives of American women for the better is - are you ready for this - the clothes dryer.
Think about it. Constant backaches from toting the laundry basket out to the yard, then having to bend to get the clothes to hang over and over and over again.
Shit was time consuming, backbreaking work, man.
I can remember my Okie grandma hanging clothes in the backyard and that was in the late 60s. After Bud finally broke down and bought her a dryer from Montgomery Wards, she had so much free time on her hands she made him go down and buy a TV set.
Myself, I couldn't imagine living without a washer and dryer.

I got off early today and took the back roads home so I could spot any coyotes that might be hunting the late morning and quickly found out that I was out of Copenhagen. Oh well, there's a store up the road 4 or 5 miles.
I pulled in and parked, scattering the chickens that were pecking in the dirt lot and went in for a bottle of water and a can of Cope and this fucking girl behind the counter looks at me dead serious and asks me for my ID.
"Say what?"
"State law says I have to card anybody buying alcohol or tobacco products to ensure that they're not underage" she says in an obviously often repeated monotone.
I grabbed my grey beard and waved it at her. "How's this for ID?"
She sold me the can.

It's getting closer

Okay. So I'm getting married next Saturday and I'm not going to lie - I'm nervous. I got weird shit running through my mind, like Miss Lisa ain't never skinned out a coyote before and she seems to have absolutely no interest in learning to reload as strange as that may seem.
I mean those are minor things in the big scheme of things and to be honest with you, I haven't shot enough coyotes lately to require 2 skinners, but still......
It would ease my jitters considerably though if she was incredibly wealthy and could buy me a few thousand acres for me to hang out in.

Let's talk about the joyous occasion.
It was originally supposed to be a small affair with me and her, Mom and Pops, and a preacher man in our house, getting married in front of the fireplace. That's it.
We're up to 52 guests so far.
Miss Lisa put it on her Facebook which is no big deal because most of her family and friends are back in Tennessee. Then Mom put it on her FB and motherfuckers started coming out of the woodwork because damned near all of her FB friends are from here. Motherfuckers that haven't seen in years are inviting themselves. "Free food at Kenny's? Hell yeah, we're going!"
I got cousins that I've successfully managed to avoid for years showing up. People that only dress in black - maybe because I only see them at funerals - are coming. Relatives I wouldn't recognize on the streets because I haven't seen them since they were like, ten are coming. Neighbors from down the block are coming. A whole shitload of motherfuckers that normally wouldn't come to my house are coming just because we're "related".
Well godammit, it ain't my fault we're related. Go someplace else.
Miss Lisa's surprised at how out of hand it got too. The difference between me and Lisa though is that she's actually working with it and planning it and delegating chores out instead of standing in the middle of the living room hollering "YOU GOTTA BE FUCKING KIDDING ME!!!!!" like I do when I hear that somebody else is coming.

I don't like crowds anyway. That's why when I want to get away I go east to the mountains instead of west to the fucking coast and cities. Now I'm going to have packed house, getting up early so I can start smoking meat 'cause you know none of them damned Okies are gonna leave until they scarf me out of house and home. Fuck, I'm gonna be finding rib bones and dope stashes around my yard for months to come.

Yeah, so I'm stressing big time. I'm headed over to Mom's later today to grab a handful of Xanax, I have a feeling I'm gonna be eating those motherfuckers like peanuts until this is done and over. Protecting the General Public, you know? Fucking road rage incident - I can see the story in the paper now, relatives commenting "We just can't understand why he drove his truck through that funeral and mowed everybody down. Why, he was supposed to get married next weekend..."  People at work "We knew he was a crazy motherfucker, but damn, homes..."  and even Al Sharpton getting into the act - "He probably thought there was a black child in the crowd..."

And last but not least I cannot figure out is how to work a "Fuck You Obama" into the ceremony without offending any old folks watching.
Hell, feed me enough Xanax before the ceremony and I might stand up and holler it my ownself.

Govt to keep info on Americans with no terror ties

WASHINGTON (AP) - The U.S. intelligence community will now be able to store information about Americans with no ties to terrorism for up to five years under new Obama administration guidelines.
Until now, the National Counterterrorism Center had to immediately destroy information about Americans that was already stored in other government databases when there were no clear ties to terrorism.
Giving the NCTC expanded record-retention authority had been called for by members of Congress who said the intelligence community did not connect strands of intelligence held by multiple agencies leading up to the failed bombing attempt on a Detroit-bound airliner on Christmas 2009.
"Following the failed terrorist attack in December 2009, representatives of the counterterrorism community concluded it is vital for NCTC to be provided with a variety of datasets from various agencies that contain terrorism information," Director of National Intelligence James Clapper said in a statement late Thursday. "The ability to search against these datasets for up to five years on a continuing basis as these updated guidelines permit will enable NCTC to accomplish its mission more practically and effectively."
The new rules replace guidelines issued in 2008 and have privacy advocates concerned about the potential for data-mining information on innocent Americans.
"It is a vast expansion of the government's surveillance authority," Marc Rotenberg, executive director of the Electronic Privacy Information Center, said of the five-year retention period.
The government put in strong safeguards at the NCTC for the data that would be collected on U.S. citizens for intelligence purposes, Rotenberg said. These new guidelines undercut the Federal Privacy Act, he said.
"The fact that this data can be retained for five years on U.S. citizens for whom there's no evidence of criminal conduct is very disturbing," Rotenberg said.
"Total Information Awareness appears to be reconstructing itself," Rotenberg said, referring to the Defense Department's post-9/11 data-mining research program that was killed in 2003 because of privacy concerns.
The Washington Post first reported the new rules Thursday.
The Obama administration said the new rules come with strong safeguards for privacy and civil liberties as well. Before the NCTC may obtain data held by another government agency, there is a high-level review to assure that the data "is likely to contain significant terrorism information," Alexander Joel, the civil liberties protection officer at national intelligence directorate, said in a news release Thursday.
The NCTC was created after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks to be the central U.S. organization to analyze and integrate intelligence regarding terrorism.

President Obama personally addressed the Treyvon Miller shooting controversy this morning, but just four days earlier, the White House was taking a different position.
When reporters asked on Monday about the president's response to controversy, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney responded that the president was aware of the issue and reminded reporters that the local FBI office was monitoring the situation.
"Our thoughts and prayers go out to Trayvon Martin’s family, but obviously we’re not going to wade into a local law enforcement matter," Carney said. "I would refer you to the Justice Department and to local law enforcement at this point."
Today, Obama addressed the case in detail, empathizing personally with the parents of the victim.
"If I had a son he would have looked like Treyvon," Obama said shortly, addressing the victim's parents. "I think they are right to expect that all of us as Americans are going to take this with the seriousness that this deserves and that we're going to get to the bottom of exactly what happened."
