This is starting to piss me off already

All right, because I couldn't upload pictures onto this blog any longer using IE, I switched over to another seldom used browser at Mad Mike's advice - I already had Firefox downloaded - for a day because I truly care about y'all and I knew you wouldn't be happy just reading my wit, but then Firefox started pissing me off. I dumped that last night and went to Chrome. I imported all of my favorites but I'm having a problem that I'm hoping one of you smart fuckers can help me with.
I can't figure out how to save a website to favorites...... Am I doing something wrong or is it a glitch in that operating system? I've got a favorites bar for my everyday sites but surely there's a folder or something I can use for sites that I want to come back to a little later down the line. I'll include a screen shot of what I'm talking about.

You can see there's a folder there on the right for my imported favorites but what about new favorites? I've tried to download a yahoo toolbar because I know that's got a 'save to favorites' button but that didn't take either.
Can anybody give me a hand here?

*****

Okay, I got it now. Pops was right, I shoulda finished high school.
Thanks to Bob of The Drawn Cutlass for showing where to find all of my newly bookmarked sites. I was starting to go through milf withdrawals here.
Nap time......

Top right of browser window is an icon of three horizontal bars, when you mouse over it says "customise and control Google Chrome." Click it. You'll see a drop-down menu, mouse over "bookmarks" then select "bookmarks manager" from the sub-menu.

That should show you everthing in the bookmarks menu.

right next to the search line on the right is a star, click and it says bookmark, which I think is Google speak for favorites.

Hey, CharlieGD's dad: Just right click on the blank area anywhere on top of the page...also, there are the 3 vertical bars on the right that are the tools...

See, I knew you guys were smart.
I knew about the little star thingy, I just figure out where they were going to after I bookmarked them.
Thanks, Bob. I got this shit down now.

Should be a little star at the end of the...place you type in a web address. Click it, then you can pick a folder to put it in.

...or right click the bookmarks area to create a new folder if you want, and drag the web address into it.

Glad I could help. And here's the really cool feature of Chrome: from this point on, your bookmarks will always be there for you, even if you lose your hard drive and don't have a backup. Just download Chrome to the new computer, log in to your Google account, and the bookmarks are all there waiting for you.

Hi Kenny,

So was there any explanation from Blogger or Google for you no longer being able to us IE to upload pics to the blog. I tried to put some pics on my blog today, could not do it. I did not get the option to browse my files and select one from my PC was usual. Instead a list showed up saying I could upload from, my own blog (of all places), or something called Picasa, or my phone, or webcam, or from a URL.

I am guessing that Google is screwing with MS because of the Scroogled advertisement they showed over the holidays in which Bing slamme Google. All I can say is Bah - Humbug if that is the case. I may have to move to another blog site, maybe WordPress.

Do you have any insight on this crap?

Thanks.

All the best,
Glenn B

I got the same message and Mad Mike advised me to use another browser. I did and it works fine.
May I recommend Google Chrome? It takes just seconds to download, it imports all your favorites, it's faster and so easy to use that I've already removed IE from my computer.
There's a couple of things that are different as you can tell from this post but if you have any questions, shoot me an email and I'll help you out.

I just found the solution, at least a temporary one for IE users. I posted it on my blog here:

This has been happening to IE and FireFox users.

All the best,
