The jack goes under the frame, not the body, dumbass

  1. Does that make him a jackass?

  2. Jack goes on the pinch points, cars don't have a frame anymore. Once saw a guy put the jack under the floor board, left a nice hump but a hammer fixed that.

    1. For all those moving parts in a muffler. Might fit the Johnson rod too. And don't forget to check that Spark-a-lator.

  9. Pinch points are NOT where to put the jack unless the jack is designed for it.
Some cars have what passes for a frame farther in that can be used, but the best place to jack is somewhere on the subframe, lifting one corner at a time.
Anybody that jacks on my pinch points will be sued for any and all damages.

You see the piddly-ass brakes on the back of that thing?
My 95 Taurus had bigger discs in the rear.

  12. And we was told we were an awful parents because we wouldn't let any of our children drive our vehicles until they proved to us they knew how to change the tires on said vehicle. They also had to prove they knew how to check all fluid levels and top them off if need be. And when Hubby stepped outside to do general maintenance they were expected to be there to do the grunt work.

I still think we did it right. The youngest daughter has bailed out her friends more than once by being able to change a tire or wire up a dragging muffler.
