Calling a spade a spade

CARMEL, Ind. — The pastor of a Catholic church in Indiana is facing backlash after he compared Black Lives Matter demonstrators to “maggots and parasites.”

“When I tell you we were vibrating with emotion, I’m not exaggerating,” said activist Ashten Spilker. “I mean, we were shaking. We were so appalled and upset by the words and the hateful rhetoric.”

    1. Yeah? Well, I'm annoyed with the man. It's an insult to maggots. Maggots serve a useful purpose.

  3. “When I tell you we were vibrating with emotion, I’m not exaggerating,” said activist Ashten Spilker. “I mean, we were shaking. Does that mean that they were "Triggered?" But the Catholic Church is "woke" so that priest might be in trouble...

    1. “We were vibrating...”. “I mean we were shaking..”, I’m guessing Ashton isn’t going to be much use in a firefight.

    1. bergoglio isn't the pope....Benedict is (substantial error in the 'resignation' negated it...God rights straight with our crooked lines.)
bergoglio is a world-class asshole who hates the Church and doesn't even believe in God...he's a Marxist agitator and puppet of soros & other globalist/leftist/lgbt/'greenies'. God will sort the whole thing out (He always does), but I just had to jump in to say that bergoglio is no more a pope than I am....antipope is more accurate.

  8. I have always had the understanding that Catholic Churches had priests, not pastors. Not that it really matters to the context of the story. Am I wrong?

    1. The pastor of a church can be a priest or monsignor. It's a title (pastor) that in the Catholic Church says 'head of this building.'

You can call the pastor a pastor or Father or Monsignor. Just don't call any father or monsignor 'pastor.'

  9. Lives Matter. Putting a color in front of that makes you a racist. Father should have added "scum" to his description of them.

  10. If we had enough 'voice' for them to even hear us; I'll bet we could get them to stroke out or have a heart attack.

  11. Prior to vibrating, mz. Spilker led a sit-in chant:
    "Two, four, six, eight,
Stop the hatred, stop the hate."

I am not making this up.
