Commentary: When Enough is Enough, the ‘Woke’ Are ‘Awakening’

Recently, I read with great interest James Lindsay’s essay called “The Woke Breaking Point.” There, he invites his readers to ask friends and acquaintances “What would it take for you to say that the Woke movement has gone too far?” This, he suggests, is a way to help people keep themselves honest: if you consider in advance what state of affairs, specifically, would be “too far,” then you will be able to recognize better the excesses of the totalitarian Left and more ready to resist them at the point when it becomes absolutely necessary.

Reframing the question, he writes: “Ask. When is enough, enough?”

  2. Not sure about anyone else, this is the first I've ever mentioned it, but....I'm sick of that stupid word "woke", unless it is used in proper English, in context.

    1. Bastardizing the language seems to be a large part of how the marxists run their business. It's how evil becomes good, displaying manners becomes supremacist, insisting on learning math and science become racist.

  3. It's waaay more than enough and it seems to me all that frustration from people not being able to speak their mind w/o jeopardizing their livelihood. People have been put in a position where their rights under the 1st Amendment are worthless. Was this the goal of Soros and Left? You betcha! And all this BLM, rayciss crap is designed to further divide us so we'll not notice how they're ripping us off in oh-so many ways.
I predict all this frustration will vent in November with the re-election of President Trump and hopefully a GOP majority CON-gress. Maybe when Trump has control of both houses he will be able to restore some sanity to the U.S.A.

    1. Trump's re-election, despite possibly having control of both houses of CONgress, is going to "trigger" the woke left; like that prissy, prancing, shirtless thing in a green skirt that was yelling at the cops yesterday in NYC, into doubling and tripling down on their "peaceful" demonstrations and attacks on public infrastructure.

Not that the threat of further, more violent public discourse should deter anyone from voting for sanity in November as a vote installing Biden will only serve to validate the current brown shirt army as successful and also lead to further, more violent attacks, except the attacks will include individual citizens and Christianity.

  5. Didn't Trump already have control of both houses up until 2018?

    1. No.
The so-called "Republicans" in congress, are only interested in going along to get along. They prefer the demorats run things while they weakly protest and try to get richer.

    2. Yup, and was surrounded by treasonous jerks (I'm looking you Ryan!) and embedded anti-trumpers, couldn't get his department picks confirmed; was investigated, accused of imaginary crimes and 'collusion'. When did the guy get a breathing space?
He still fixed the economy, stopped wars, changed the judiciary, started to truly rebuild the Wall, fought and won a trade war.

    3. No. Pelosi was in control of the House 2016-2018. She'd squeeze Paul Ryan's balls whenever she wanted him to do something and he'd do it.

    4. Let's say he gets re-elected this November. In the midst of putting down-once an for all-the Resistance, and calling out armored troops to put down any and all "civil disobedience", he should slip in EOs that grant him an extra 4 years in office because his first 4 were mostly nullified, and institute military tribunals for all deep staters who have engaged in insurrection. Maybe even put the Constitution on hold while things get cleaned up. What's to loose? Elect Dirty Joe and things will be 10 times worse, and his reign of terror will be permanent.

Pick your side and keep your powder dry.

  9. Part of the problem is we know why this is going on and that they WANT us to react, which we will at some point, at which time it will be hell's fury and not something we want to take lightly.
Right now, just as with Pres Trump, they have everything arranged so that those that want\need to take to righteous actions, still look like the bad and corrupt ones.
