Cougar that attacked student dies

SEATTLE (AP) — Mary Kay Letourneau, a teacher who married her former sixth-grade student after she was convicted of raping him in a case that drew international headlines, has died. She was 58.

Her lawyer David Gehrke told multiple news outlets Letourneau died Tuesday of cancer. He did not immediately return an email from The Associated Press.

  1. A rapist gets only 7 1/2 years and they write poetic odes and movies to this scum? If Mary Kay were a man the public outcry from the feminists would have been massive! I’m not sorry this kiddie diddler is dead; she destroyed that boy’s childhood. Rot in hell, bitch!

  2. Sorry, Hobo, But when I was 16, 17, and had a horny female teacher who was not bad looking offering me sex, I would be in sudden need of tutoring, and nobody would ever know the difference.
These young guys screw up the story, and instead of taking a rap for themselves, they toss the teacher under the bus. So instead of getting grounded for a month for lying about where he was, the teacher gets prison time. And the two of them got married and had 2 kids together anyway. So just who was hurt, if they got married, anyway?
There is a big difference between the sexes, and if you don't recognize that, you forget what being a teenager was like.

  3. I'm gonna guess someone other than the teacher and the kid reported the "crime" and demanded justice be done.

Back when I was a kid (that was before dirt was invented) many lady teachers were much older, as they came from a different era when it was hard for them to get a job and once they had one they kept it.

I remember a story in Ann Landers: A woman managed and lived in an apartment house with her teenage son. The boy had been spending a lot of time upstairs with the new lady who had moved in. The mother figured things out and went up to thank the woman and lowerd her rent by $5.
