  1. 389 more for the Chicago market. Some from unlocked vehicles? Hell I either personal carry or Liberty safe my weaponry. No other options.

  2. And people still think serial numbers make guns "traceable". HAHAHA.

  3. Gosh! Nashville? If you're not going to garage it or at least take keys and then lock it, why would you leave your gun in it?

    1. Thats the one that gets me????
Hell, I carry mine (concealed) ALL over the place where I'm not supposed to (school, bank, courthouse) because I refuse to leave it in my car!

    2. Anonymous @740 Carrying in some places, like federal buildings and courthouses is a felony charge. While I hate locking a gun in the car, I do so, or leave it at home. The possibility of having your firearm rights stripped away because you were convicted of a felony is not worth it.

  4. I think one reason these crimes happen is because here in Tennessee (as I understand current law) it is permissible to carry a firearm in one's car because it is considered an extension of one's domicile. This is a fairly Second-Amendment-friendly state and the legislature is considering a bill to allow for Constitutional Carry; no permit needed except for the 2nd Amendment. So criminals know that cars here are good opportunities to find guns, ESPECIALLY if the car is sporting an NRA sticker or some other indication of conservative politics.... military branch affiliation, etc.

    1. A lot of "the guns stolen from parked cars" problem is that unlike other states, in Tennessee being on the wrong side of a "No Guns" sign is a criminal offense.

And re: "Constitutional Carry" in Tennessee: Yeah, they "consider" it, snicker, then this year's designated RINO kills it in committee. Twelve years of a "Republican" supermajority in the Legislature, a "Republican" governor, and gun rights legislation is moving backwards here.
