Supreme Court won’t halt challenged border wall projects

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Supreme Court declined by a 5-4 vote Friday to halt the Trump administration's construction of portions of the border wall with Mexico following a recent lower court ruling that the administration improperly diverted money to the project.

The court's four liberal justices dissented, saying they would have prohibited construction while a court challenge continues, after a federal appeals court ruled in June that the administration had illegally sidestepped Congress in transferring the Defense Department funds.

  1. A number of bloggers have attacked Trump for "not doing anything with the border wall." Well, he can't. I don't know what the man really thinks about a wall, but he didn't understand or didn't care, while campaigning that congress critters--on both sides of the aisle--LOVE illegal immigration. Rulings like this one--esp. given the leftward drift of Roberts and the undead state of ginsburg, show that the next election and the coming appointment of SC justices really is important.
Not that building a wall around a country that is already rotting from within is that big of a deal anymore?

Imagine that, Benedict Roberts did the right thing for a change. I really despise that one man wields so much power.

    1. My guess: the Chief Justice had a Biden moment and did not understand the nature of the case. His liberal supporters must be very pissed at him for his mistake in the way he voted.
