Utah: So you wanna play games, huh?

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Some Black Lives Matter protesters in Salt Lake City could face up to life in prison if they’re convicted of splashing red paint and smashing windows during a protest, a potential punishment that stands out among demonstrators arrested around the country and one that critics say doesn’t fit the alleged crime.

The felony criminal mischief charges are more serious because they carry a gang enhancement. Prosecutors said Wednesday that’s justified because the protesters worked together to cause thousands of dollars in damage, but watchdogs called the use of the 1990s-era law troubling, especially in the context of criminal justice reform and minority communities.

  1. I keep seeing they're "facing" stiff sentences.
As I'm also seeing them let free without bail.

It seems just like how, any day now, they're going to bring charges against Mueller, Comey and the rest of the coup crew.

Oh, please. These fooking "watchdogs" (is the new name for journalists who only look after the rights of the looters and arsonists) are one of the biggest problems with society today. Everyones got a grievance against upholding the law. I bet these "watchdogs" wouldn't feel the same way if it was THEIR business or residence that was being looted and burned or city shit down because "peaceful protestors".

  4. 50 lashes followed by "Tar & Feathering" sounds appropriate. Appropriate for the watchdogs. The criminals should have their hands amputated following our great Congress babe Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar's rules of engagement.

    1. Nah, go Roman on them. Gather them in groups of ten, and tell them "Good news and bad news, fellas. The bad news? 9 of you will be here for 30 days, with a diet of nothing but barley. The good news? One of you won't be."

  6. RICO applies too. They are a criminal gang, committing crimes as part of a criminal conspiracy to commit those crimes. It couldn't be more clear. Acting on behalf of the Democratic party is not a shield.

    1. Are you saying 'seize the assets' of everybody involved in this ongoing criminal enterprise?

      Soros? Pelosi? Biden?
The mayors of the cities involved, the governors and governesses of the states involved?

      That sounds nice in theory.
Reality says the criminals own the prosecutors and investigators... and probably own most jurors, too.

  7. Chain gangs, 5+ years prison w/o parole, etc, would be fitting for vandalism, but life? No.

  8. Arrests and jail time only apply to conservatives and small business owners trying to stay afloat ...... at least, that’s according to the newly-renamed ACLLU (American Civil Liberal’s Liberties Union)
