SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Gov. Gavin Newsom is using new powers to withhold money from two cities in California’s Central Valley that are defying his health orders by allowing all businesses to open during the pandemic.
Newsom blocked nearly $65,000 from Atwater in Merced County and more than $35,000 from Coalinga in Fresno County, the first installments of $2.5 billion in federal funds that cities and counties across the state risk losing if they don’t toe the line on coronavirus safeguards.

They should just not remit any of the sales tax money collected back to the state, and the cities would have even a bigger windfall. The state really can’t complain because that would be money that they would never have seen anyway., if everything was still in lockdown.

I read an article about the Washington Examiner doing a poll. Anyone else see it? I don't read newspapers or believe anything they write, but this looked a bit odd.
ReplyDeleteThe Examiner did a poll asking what people were thinking the overall percentage of the population of Covid patients were and what percentage of the population actually died of the Covid.
The polling numbers were 20% of the total population have had it and 9% died from Covid.
Then the Examiner actually went out and found the "real" numbers...1% has had the Covid and 0.04% have died from Covid.
Some good people need to shut down these commie "leaders" who want to continue to fuck this country.
0.04% mortality rate. Imagine that. Almost exactly the same figure Dr. Dan Erickson came up with from the patients he had treated at his clinics in the Bakersfield area. That was just before he was derided as a dangerous fraud and silenced back in April.
