$1 billion-plus riot damage is most expensive in insurance history

The vandalism and looting following the death of George Floyd at the hands of the Minneapolis police will cost the insurance industry more than any other violent demonstrations in recent history, Axios has learned.

  1. Serious typo; the vandalism and looting following the death of George Floyd from a drug overdose while attended by Minneapolis Police ..
The cops didn't kill him, fentenal did and the cops didn't give it to him.

    2. George Floyd was a suicide.
He decided to suicide by a massive overdose of illegal drugs inserted in his colon.
He chose to suicide while committing crimes against his neighbors and against his community.

All evidence shows every government agent attempted to prolong his life after he decided to suicide.

      PS:
Was that his second suicide attempt in two weeks?
Did he suffer from liver collapse after decades of abusing drugs including alcohol?

    1. I'm having to schedule a couple days in advance because they're trimming trees around the power lines and told us we can expect not to have power off and on (mostly off) through Friday, so I already had that scheduled to post on Thursday.

  3. The blowback on all the people of minneapolis will be legend. All insurance rates and new policies will skyrocket. Good on the genius people of Minnesota especially those who allowed all the bused in support and those in mommy's basement who own a car. Gotta go buy some more popcorn for this weekend.

  4. I'm kinda surprised that insurance companies haven't declared force majure in Minneapolis and wherever else looting and arson have taken place. Police in Portlandia have officially declared riot on numerous occasions, so the insurance co's have something official to fall back on in the event of suits over not honoring their contracted liability to pay up in the event of insured loss.

I'm not a lawyer, nor do I play on TV, so legally I have no idea if Force Majure applies here, but I think it could.

  5. Just a heads up, avoid Louisville for the next few days. There are going to be some pretty serious riots in the near future. I'll see if I can get some decent pics for ya since I'll be out there having molotovs and bricks thrown at me.
