  3. I was watching interviews with some deep Appalachia folk. One man now 52 said he was seventeen before he finished I believe it was the sixth grade. He didn't go to school a lot. He just went when he was hungry. He said had it not been for school he would have gone days without eating. More of the white privilege stuff eh? He seemed like a real good fella but came from a world of real hard knocks. He left home at ten cuz he couldn't take the beatings anymore. Slept in barns, smoke houses, chicken coops. Anywhere out of the weather.

    1. That is why I get so pissed off when I hear the liberal POS talk about the white privilege BS. Color has not got a damn thing to do with poverty. Poor is poor, no matter what color your skin is.
I have been financially poor once in my life, and depended on food assistance and food trucks to help feed my family. I learned that you take everything that they offer at the food truck. Even if it is not something that your family will eat, you can find another poor family that can use it. We have a FB group that has a page for people in need of help, that you can go to, and plan a time to meet, and give them what ever help that they need and you can give them.
I recall once, a woman with 9 people in her household that she was feeding, and my wife and I went and met her at the stop and rob on the corner, with a basket of food from our cupboard. There were several others there, all poor people like ourselves, giving what they could,to help this woman who had taken in not only her family, but also just friends in need. She worked, but could not afford to feed so many, without help. We went inside, and bought a few pounds of hamburger and some on sale chicken quarters, cost us somewhere around 10 bucks. This woman almost started to cry, she was so grateful. You cannot even understand what it is like to be that much in need until you find yourself there. Sometimes, the better off people will pitch in and help, but nearly without fail,it is the poor people that come out and help the other poor people. And most of the time it is white people who are the poor, and need help to feed their families. You can tell that they are not faking, or strung out on drugs, but they are just poor, they often have their kids with them, and their kids are clean and dressed in clean clothes, and are respectful, no matter their age. Of course,on occasion you run into the odd family that looks like drugs have affected the household, and not in a good way, but no matter what color the family, most of them are decent people, who are grateful for the help, and thank you like you just gave them a new car or something.
One year, we won a turkey from a radio station, plus we got one from my place of employment,so we gave one of them away, via F.Book,to a needy family. For a less than 15$ turkey, you would have thought we had given them the world. I know that many people are often ungrateful for what they receive, but seldom have I found that happen with people that I have helped. Plus,I have never missed money that I have given away,no matter how much. In fact,I have usually gotten it back, and often in multiples of what I gave away. I once gave 50$ to a young couple in need, and within just a few days,I got word that I was going to receive 60,000$ in back pay from my SSD, which I had been awarded, but was waiting on, for over 2 months.

  4. 2) Always bring your own car, always park strategically so you don't get blocked, always have a code word with the spouse that means "we are leaving". If you are bringing food only use disposable containers so you don't have to gather anything up. If anybody gives you anything like a gift go put it in the car right then.

  5. #20 reminds me of the old (ABSOLUTELY TRUE)saying "Show me a beautiful woman, and I'll show you a guy who's tired of fucking her."

  7. I read something the other day about having Thanksgiving with extended family. If you get the attention of the group and go off about Trump, opposite of the way the majority feel. You will cut your Christmas gift list in half or more.
