Commentary: The Battle Is Far from Over

The tense and critical period of recounting and challenging the presidential election results in several states has brought to a climax the great struggle between the Trump phenomenon and the different constituent elements of the post-Reagan bipartisan political establishment.

  1. Got a message this morning from my overseas friend that Sidney Power is no longer on the Trump legal team. Wikipedia confirms it as of yesterday. Wonder whats up.

    1. From what I understand Powell has been working independently from the main team and will continue to do so, sharing into back and forth as it comes in.

    2. Not only that, but her "pinned tweet" showcasing her awesome lawyeritude is literally bitching that *private* companies are violating first amendment rights and censoring speech. My guess is she isn't much of a lawyer.

    3. Facebook, Twitter, and Google are non-governmental companies. Facebook and Twitter at least have asked to be treated like telecos and exempt from being liable for what is posted on their sites since they don't have editorial control. Censoring one side gives lie to no editorial control. They should either not censor or be open to liable and defamation based on the content they carry.

I am unaware of Google applying for the same. The Republicans should join with Elizabeth Warren, declare Google a monopoly, break them up, and tax the hell out of them.

When Microsoft's web presence was actively endorsing the Democratic Party at the same time that the Democratic Party was trying to break up the company, I wrote their investor service and asked why? Why should I invest in a company that is actively trying to commit suicide? Someone did respond that they would look into it, but of course, they never got back to me about it.

    4. You do realize that while the core of the Bill of Rights are supposed to be restrictions on what the GOV can do in regards to our rights and many people default to the argument "they are a private company and they can do what they want" or variant of the same that one is still subject to the laws that prevent private individuals or groups conspiring to infringe on those same rights?
Why else do you think the Gov has the authority to step in when their are Civil Rights violations that may not fall under local laws.

  2. They can yammer on about Florida in 2000 but the simple truth is Gore didn’t even carry his home state.

    1. That picture of Elian Gonzalez with a Fed MP-5 in his face won the election for Bush. Pissing off the Cuban community in Florida isn't a very good idea for any party or individual politician.

  3. She was never really on the team. She represents the people. A neccessary statement to absolve and conflict of interest. She represents all candidates that had votes stolen from them.

  4. Recounting fraudulently cast ballots is an exercise in futility. It is amazing that they keep coming up with different numbers. Even if you're a Biden supporter, the fact that the numbers change after a recount should make you question the voting system.

  5. The link below shows the reality.
As to whether the fraud triumphs remains to be seen.

  6. Yeah, it's all interesting argument, but it won't change anything. Come January, it's not going to be Trump taking the oath; the only question is whether it will be Gropin' Joe or Kneepads.

When games are found to be fixed, they don't replay them, and they don't change the score. At most, a few of the folks who were in on the fix get a mild slapping.

  7. If only it were as simple as "hanging chads".
But hanging democrats would be a better use of our time.
