Activists target Seattle area homeowners for eviction citing 'sovereign' property rights

A group of activists have been targeting residents in North Seattle area suburbs, presenting homeowners with official-looking documents, and proclaiming that they are the rightful owners of their waterfront homes. In one case, they told a homeowner she was being evicted.

According to KIRO 7 news "Edmonds detectives say the group knocked on doors in the most upscale neighborhoods in Woodway and Edmonds, identifying themselves as Moorish Sovereign Citizens. They carry official-looking documents, say they own the property and announce they're moving in. "They have basically come to say that they're from this particular group and they're there to repossess the home and want the people to vacate the premises," said Edmonds police Sgt. Josh McClure."

  1. These screwballs have been around for years. Up until recently they fell into the same category as the Flat Earth Society and the Unconstitutional Income Tax fatheads, but now that they've taken up a new hobby someone will evict them with a shotgun. And that will be that.

  2. My reply would be let me introduce you to my council, Mr. 10mm. A 200 grain jacketed hollow point at 1250 fps makes a very big hole.

  4. I think I would fall over laughing. Then politely ask them to leave before they experienced something some may consider rude.

Moorish Sovereigns have a tendency to shoot cops, so there's that... conveniently not publicized to the hilt...

  10. I've been puzzled by why people like these are called 'activists '

    They're thugs, plain and simple.

  11. Um, in Washington, are the public even in possession of guns?

    1. In most of Washington, yes, but in the big cities probably not nearly as many.
And with all other courses of trying to defend ourselves, it seems the state is more interested in protecting the poor hapless, innocent "victims" from our "racist" attacks.

    2. This is the biggest problem. Laws protecting the criminal, aggressively prosecuting anyone that does anything to stop the criminal. One only has to look at all of the drivers last summer being prosecuted when driving away from “mostly peaceful protestors” surrounding vehicles and beating on them with pipes and skateboards. The McCloskey’s (sp?) in St. Louis, in a state that has castle doctrine in place. I doubt that any of the liberal States have any other way to remove an uninvited person, other than to call the police, which are currently being defunded.

  12. Interesting that they chose Seattle to try this; probably figured it was their best chance of success.

  13. HMMM Waterfront property. That would make it really easy to dispose of these nuisances. Invite them in to listen to their Dumbass ideas. Offer them a drink of something (Drugged of course) drag them down to a boat and take them for a one way boat ride about 20 miles out in the pacific to a pre-elected area of the deepest water possible. Tie a 50-100 lb weight to each individual's legs. Show them which direction shore is and dump them over the side after making more than few slashes with a sharp object and chumming the area for a couple of hours. Problem solved.
