Oughta work

When there’s a fire in New York City, 911 dispatch sends a team of firefighters. And when there’s a car crash, responders call for a tow truck and an ambulance. When when there’s a 911 call about an unstable individual posing harm to themselves or to others, New York City sends its law enforcement.

But that might not be the case for much longer.

In a statement made by the mayor’s office on Tuesday Morning, New York Mayor Bill de Blasio announced a pilot program that would send counseling professionals to respond to 911-calls that are associated with mental health emergencies—instead of police officers.

The Revolutionary Red Zone

Wresting control of a once-free republic like America has been a painstaking job for our gulag-obsessed revolutionaries. They understand that if the people’s revolution kicks off too early, normal Americans might object in no uncertain terms.

Our betters would love to set up guillotines for deplorables and sundry subhumans who continue to spew their hateful rhetoric about their Constitution and their Second Amendment and their God-given rights. One wonders if the People’s Liberation Army might be enticed into a little recreational target practice in corners of Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming. But even the most impatient of the lot understands that all of the deplorables have seen Red Dawn.

Don't Give an Inch

Elections don’t make democracies; free and fair elections do. Today, in the midst of post-election chaos, we find ourselves in a fight for the latter. In that sense, this election is about far more than Donald Trump the man, or even his policies. The question is this: either democracy survives or one political party will be allowed to bully, lie, cheat, and steal its way into power.

The stakes, at this moment, in this country that we love, could not be higher. Some Republicans are used to losing and habituated to concession, but the President and the largest number of voters for any Republican in American history know that fighting until the end is necessary–and winning is not wrong.

1965 Bluegrass/Mountain Music

My subscribers and others have been asking me for some time to post the full film I made back in 1965–I first professional documentary–primetime television at that time. I was 22 years old. I had never really traveled outside of my home area of New England. Being with these wonderful people taken around by the extraordinary collector of talent, Bascom Lamar Lunsford, was one of the most memorable experiences of my life as a filmmaker.  I know that some commentators will say that this is not bluegrass but mountain or old-time music. To me, the distinction is irrelevant. Bluegrass. Country. Mountain. Old time. The creative source is all the same. The wonderfully talented people of the Appalachian Mountains. This is not the entire film but a good part of it.

Make up your damned minds already

Wearing a mask can help protect you, not just those around you, from coronavirus transmission, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said in new guidance Tuesday.

The statement was an update to previous guidance suggesting the main benefit of mask wearing was to help prevent infected people from spreading the virus to others.

Commentary: Building a New, Less Cowardly Republican Party

If you are a conservative who has been waking up angry, upset, and frustrated with your representation in Congress in the week since the presidential election, you are not alone.

Many of us are wondering why the Republican Party seems to have been reactive and defensive rather than aggressive in support of President Trump and the America First agenda.

Wisco thinks I should start a Macon County chapter

It may seem odd, but members of the Men’s Therapeutic Cuddle Group say the practice has helped them cope with everything from childhood sexual abuse to the loss of family members when they were young.

The two-year-old group draws men from various backgrounds: a 37-year-old Mormon who works as an airport gate agent, a 57-year-old married father of three, a 62-year-old retiree. There is a range of sexual orientations.

In liberal California, BLM protests in some towns meet with ‘scary’ backlash

Pastor Nelson Rabell-González knew that “livable, lovable Lodi,” as locals call it, had a problem when men carrying a noose and baseball bats with American flags attached shouted racial slurs at him in September as he helped lead a peaceful protest in this San Joaquin Valley town.

The Hell where Youth and Laughter go - mass German soldier exhumation

Here's a couple videos that are pretty damned fascinating if you ask me. Exhuming the graves of these German soldiers so they can be brought home to their home shows just how horrific battlefield wounds can be.

A large number of German soldiers killed in 1945 on the Eastern Front are exhumed from a village cemetery where they had been lying in unmarked and forgotten graves. Of note were two bodies with amputations, some bodies with splints and tourniquets,  bodies with severe war wounds and numerous ID tags as well as a few rings. The bodies were exhumed in order to be reburied in a large centralised military cemetery.

VIDEO HERE (33.30 minutes)

Exhumation of 25 German soldiers from a forgotten field cemetery on the eastern front. Most of the soldiers still had their identification tags. Several bodies displayed signs of medical treatment, such as the presence of splints or of tourniquets on fractured limbs. 14 of the 25 bodies had been buried in coffins. One amputated leg was also found with the bodies. Also found were one half body, one severely mangled body, a wedding ring, a campaign ring, a death head ring, shrapnel fragments, condoms, coins and buttons. The exact location of the cemetery was found thanks to an elderly period witness.

The point of the excavation was to recover these bodies buried in unmarked graves, to identify them, to rebury them in an official German war cemetery, and to inform the relatives of the soldiers of the location of the bodies.

Another Day Will Come

Throughout the history of the United States, we have encouraged and demanded that free and fair elections take place in other nations to gain our support in the U.N. and NATO. That is the absolute minimum requirement. When other societies have failed to offer free and fair elections to their people they have suffered penalties including economic sanctions and embargoes. The very reason this has always been true is that the minimum that should be accepted of a modern nation is the ability of its people to choose its leaders and participate in local and national policy. Joe Biden and the Democrats (a political party that has evolved into a collectivist party) seek to deny that status to their own citizens.

Fox News Still Hasn’t Rescinded Its Inaccurate Election Night Prediction Dems Would Gain Five House Seats

American Greatness author Christopher Gage on Saturday asked why Fox News has not retracted it’s wrong call on the house.

It’s a good question so American Greatness emailed Fox News Corporation Monday morning to ask it. We didn’t receive a reply.

The Fox News Decision Desk made its wildly inaccurate projection early on Election Night, saying that Democrats would win at least five seats in the House. The bad call was devastating to Republican morale and set the false narrative that President Trump had no coattails.

Too much snow to make it to a mineshaft?

BRIDGEPORT (AP/CBS13) — A California state snowplow driver clearing a remote stretch of U.S. 395 in the eastern Sierra Nevada found the bodies of a man and woman who had been slain, the Mono County Sheriff’s Office said.

The bodies were spotted just before dawn Monday on the shoulder of the highway about 10 miles (16 kilometers) north of the tiny community of Bridgeport.

COVID-19 IS THE AGENDA – Biden is Merely The Delivery Vehicle…

Understanding the bigger picture is to understand how the “fundamental change” issues are not directly connected to the ongoing 2020 debate challenges, ballot issues, election outcome, etc; yet, the “fundamental change” issues required a Biden election.

Why is COVID-19 so important politically? This discussion thread explains why…

Explainer: Why do the media call races in US elections?

Fifty-one separate elections — one in each state and one in Washington, DC. Each with different rules and regulations, and no national elections commission to tell the world who wins. How, then, to quickly and accurately determine who won the highest office in the land?

That’s where the news media come in — and have done so since 1848, when The Associated Press declared the election of Zachary Taylor as president.

A couple articles about Kyle Rittenhouse

Prosecutors have charged the suspect who allegedly gave 17-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse the rifle he used to fatally shoot two men and injure a third during the Jacob Blake riots in Kenosha.

The Illinois teen was too young to have legally bought the Smith & Wesson M & P-15 rifle himself that he wielded that fateful Aug. 25 night. Now Rittenhouse's friend, 19-year-old Dominick David Black, is facing two felony counts of intentionally selling a gun to a minor.

And then there's this:

ANTIOCH, Ill. (AP) — The mother of an Illinois 17-year-old charged in the fatal shooting of two men during a protest in Wisconsin said neither her son nor the protesters should have been on the street that night and put much of the blame for what happened on police and the governor.

Look Closely: Trump Still Has A Shot At Winning Reelection

The Biden/Harris team and their complicit allies in the mainstream news industry are attempting one of the most audacious heists in American political history. In “calling”Joe Biden the winner Saturday, political prognosticators in the major cable news outlets reveal not only their continued bias but also their strong sense of dread of the ultimate outcome for their basement-dwelling candidate of choice.

The facts are, as of Monday, a full week after election day, Biden is behind President Donald Trump in the undisputed electoral count — Biden’s 226 to Trump’s 232 (assuming Trump wins North Carolina) — with a full 80 outstanding electoral votes in seven states still in a legal fog and unlikely to be determined much before the Dec. 14 state deadlines to report the count to Congress.

Ring recalls 350,000 smart doorbells after some of them caught fire

Amazon-subsidiary Ring is recalling hundreds of thousands of video doorbells after receiving reports of them catching fire.

The potential fire hazard impacts around 350,000 2nd generation Ring doorbells sold in the United States and roughly 8,700 more sold in Canada, according to a notice posted by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission on Tuesday. The $100 doorbells were sold on Ring's website and on Amazon between June 2020 and October 2020, according to the CPSC.

Tom Metzger dead at 82

Tom Metzger, the notorious former Ku Klux Klan leader who rose to prominence in the 1980s while promoting white separatism and stoking racial violence, has died at age 82.

Riverside County Department of Public Health spokesman Jose Arballo Jr. said Metzger died Nov. 4 at a skilled nursing facility in Hemet. The cause was Parkinson’s disease, Arballo said Thursday.

The former grand dragon of the California chapter of the Ku Klux Klan became one of racism’s most prominent figures after he left that organization in the 1980s to form the White Aryan Resistance movement.

So much for rioting and looting in Florida

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis reportedly wants to expand to the state's self-defense law commonly known as Stand Your Ground that could include justifications for people using force against one another over criminal acts during protests, like looting.

According to the Miami Herald, the "anti-mob" draft legislation expands the list of forcible felonies under the Stand Your Ground to include criminal mischief causing “interruption or impairment” of a business. This means that the proposed expansion may allow for citizens to shoot and possibly kill anyone they suspect of rioting or looting.

Tucker too?

It appears as though one of the most prominent talking heads at Fox News may have reached the fifth and final stage of post-election grief: acceptance.

On Monday night, Tucker Carlson admitted that there doesn't "seem to be enough" fraud "to alter the election result" and that he should be "honest and tell you that."

TIJUANA, Mexico — A Customs and Border Patrol agent is seen in a video buying tamales from a vendor on the Mexican side of a border barrier.

In the video, originally posted to social media and an independent Tijuana news site, a vendor reaches through an opening of the border barrier wall and hands the agent tamales, according to Border Report.

I really fail to see the problem here if the Border Patrol agent and Primo both stayed on their respective sides. I like good pork tamales myself.

To Protect and Steal...

An LAPD officer was arrested on suspicion of stealing a pickup truck from a dealership in Orange last year, officials said Tuesday.

A boozed-up woman stripped off her pants on a flight to Texas and took a swing at a flight attendant — forcing the plane to be diverted to Alabama, reports and a witness said.

Sierra Nicole McClinton, 25, was drunk and threw up on herself aboard the Houston-bound CommutAir flight from Jacksonville, Fla., on Thursday — prompting her to take off her pants, according to Fox News and an Instagram posting by a man who said he was aboard the flight.

McClinton, of Universal City, Texas, then got into an altercation with another female passenger, reports said.

No more Slurpees for him

NOVEMBER 10--A 7-Eleven patron has gotten off with a slap on the wrist after pleading guilty to a felony charge for dousing a store employee with a Slurpee during a dispute over the icy treat’s price.

Brian Duffy, 40, was arrested in late-July after he slapped a Slurpee out of the hand of a female worker at a 7-Eleven in Pinellas Park, Florida. The frozen drink, a patrolman reported, “flew onto the victim’s person” around 9:20 AM.

Rube Burrow

Reuben Houston Burrow (December 11, 1855 – October 9, 1890), better known as Rube Burrow, was a nationally infamous train-robber and outlaw in the Southern and Southwestern United States. During the final years of the American frontier, he became one of the most hunted in the Old West since Jesse James. From 1886 to 1890, he and his gang robbed express trains in Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, the Indian Territory and Texas while pursued by hundreds of lawmen throughout the southern half of the United States, including the Pinkerton National Detective Agency.

The Overlooked Battle of Tebbs Bend: Civil War Kentucky

With names like Robert E. Lee and Ulysses S. Grant dominating the headlines, we often forget just how many different actions of the Civil War were happening at the same time. There is no better representation of this than the Battle of Tebbs Bend, which occurred on July 4, 1863 - one day after the conclusion of the Battle of Gettysburg and the SAME day that the Siege of Vicksburg came to a close.

Commentary: Democrat Socialists Are Coming for You

If you thought that the Democrats and their Far Left allies might put you out of work through their job-destroying policies – they will. But they also have a plan to in effect cut out the middleman and go straight after the livelihoods of Trump supporters.

On Friday afternoon, Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez wrote on Twitter: “Is anyone archiving these Trump sycophants for when they try to downplay or deny their complicity in the future? I foresee decent probability of many deleted Tweets, writings, photos in the future.”

Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin took it a step further tweeting, “Any R now promoting rejection of an election or calling to not to follow the will of voters or making baseless allegations of fraud should never serve in office, join a corporate board, find a faculty position or be accepted into ‘polite’ society. We have a list.”

Got that – we have a “list.”

Trump Supporter Files Restraining Order Against Biden-Supporting Neighbor

ROCKLIN (CBS13) — A Rocklin man has filed a restraining order against his neighbor, alleging his neighbor harassed him over his support of President Donald Trump.

“I didn’t want to do this,” Michael Mason said. “They’re making me have to do this.”

Mason says he filed the restraining order that would keep the neighbors 100 feet away from his home. He says his Ring doorbell video shows their children harassing his family with Biden chants outside the home.

"Wait - we thought you were on OUR side..."

At the first presidential debate, Democrat Joe Biden famously said, “Antifa is an idea, not an organization.” That idea vandalized his Portland campaign building Sunday night, breaking windows and spray painting “BLM” and “F— Biden,” among other things. It would seem that the idea has manifested into a form that isn’t happy with the media-anointed president-elect.

Bend The Knee

My phone and email have been non-stop since Tuesday. But the conversations started to take a different turn after the Enemy Media came out yesterday and anointed Biden the President. It seems people are already trying to figure out how to survive the next four years and VOTE HARDER in 2024.

Seriously?

Oh, the irony...

Early Sunday morning, Seattle reached a grim milestone of its 50th homicide in 2020, this time near a victory celebration for Joe Biden in the Capitol Hill neighborhood. Over the summer, the city matched the total for all murders in 2019, which was 28 according to FBI crime statistics.

However, sources inside SPD told The Post Millennial, this was another example of police being prevented from reaching the scene of a shooting by BLM and Antifa activists as became so common this summer in the Capitol Hill Occupied Protest. The end result being that another black man was killed.

Insurers banned by California from dropping coverage for 2.1M homes in fire-stricken areas

With parts of California still smoldering, the state Department of Insurance has issued a one-year moratorium prohibiting insurers from canceling or not renewing about 2.1 million homeowners’ policies, the second consecutive year policyholders in or near fire-stricken areas have gotten a temporary measure of relief.

The move will temporarily protect homeowner policies in select ZIP Codes from Siskiyou to San Diego counties.

Weapons as Political Protest: P.A. Luty's Submachine Gun

Phillip A. Luty was a Briton who took a hard philosophical line against gun control legislation in the UK in the 1990s. In response to more restrictive gun control laws, he set out to prove that all such laws were ultimately futile by showing that one could manufacture a functional firearm from hardware store goods, without using any purpose-made firearms parts.

Luty succeeded in this task, designing a 9mm submachine gun made completely from scratch with a minimum of tools. In 1998, he published the plans for his gun as the book "Expedient Homemade Firearms". Luty was not particularly discreet about his activities (actually, he was quite outspoken...) and was eventually caught by the police while out to test fire one of his guns, and arrested. He was convicted, and spent several years in prison. He continued to pursue a gun rights agenda after being released, and was facing legal trouble again when he passed away from cancer in 2011.

Several of Luty's submachine guns are still held in the collection of the Royal Armouries' National Firearms Centre, including the one that led to his original conviction. Many thanks to the NFC for allowing me to bring that weapon to you!

A Trucker Strike in November Could Be Another Nail in the Supply Chain Coffin

Rumor has it that a large number of independent truckers are planning multiple strikes in November during which they’ll stop transporting…well, everything. Considering that our supply chain is already in precariously bad shape, imagine the impact if transport also came to a halt.

Here’s how it’s being organized.

There’s a group on Facebook (for now – we all know how it goes on Facebook) called Stop the Tires Truckers that is organizing the strike. As of the writing of this article, more than 15,000 people had joined the newly formed group.

GOP Beware: The Republican Party Did Not Carry 71,000,000+ Votes, President Trump Did…

VETERAN'S DAY NOVEMBER 11TH

BETWEEN THE STONES LIE THE STORIES

The mood on our “short bus” hauling a mixed bag of veterans around a military hospital was light with laughter and the inevitable silly stories of how we’d been whacked, dropped or crunched. The topic turned to places and times we’d served. The eldest of us was a gentleman with a shock of thin white hair over a lean, lined face lit with eyes the hue of well-washed denim. He had been smiling silently, occasionally clicking his prosthetic left “hand” on a metal rail. Both of his exposed ankles were plastic and steel. Someone asked gently where and when he had served.

Only as he leaned forward into the sunlight could we see the slashing scar almost hidden in the topography of his face, running from his hairline to his jaw.

“Just one day, boys,” he said. “Normandy. June 6, 1944.” His eyes glistened; perhaps a bit more moist than age had graced him with. Memories, I thought; the memories of one very long day.

Commentary: Let’s Take Stock of Where We Are

The 2020 election in particular, and our electoral process in general, have been badly compromised.

First there have been the successful efforts by Democrats to loosen electoral administration standards and practices by legalizing ballot harvesting (where partisan “volunteers” go out and collect ballots as well as “assist” voters in filling out their ballots), allowing same-day voter registration, mass mail-in voting, and the like. On the flipside we have Democrats tenaciously fighting any efforts to shore up the integrity of the system, such as requiring ID and proof of citizenship to vote.

What? No burning or looting?

A smattering of protests broke out around the country Saturday after former Vice President Joe Biden won the presidency, with President Donald Trump and his supporters refusing to accept defeat and pushing unfounded suspicions that rampant voter fraud was denying him a second term.

When Establishment Republicans Tell You This Election Was on the Level, Do You Believe Them?

Donald Trump had a phenomenal night on Tuesday. He received five million more votes than in 2016, expanded his support from minority voters, and lifted Republican House candidates and state legislatures across the country to victory. Republicans won almost everywhere, and the president's vote leads in battleground states seemed insurmountable and secured. A wall of voters showed up for the president in order to prevail over a "margin of fraud" universally expected by Trump's base. In any other election year, Biden would have conceded by 9 P.M. Instead, the news media refused to call races for the president, Democrats continued to inject uncontrolled mail-in ballots into the count, and Democrat-governed states turned a Trump landslide into a loss. In other words, about the only Republican who ended up losing in 2020 is the only Republican responsible for getting voters to turn out in the first place. That sure makes sense.

Supreme Court Orders Pennsylvania Counties to Separate Mail-in Ballots Received After November 3

Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) Associate Justice Samuel A. Alito, Jr. issued an Order on Friday evening requiring all of Pennsylvania’s 67 counties to keep all ballots received after 8:00 p.m. on November 3 “in a secure, safe, sealed container separated from other voted ballots” and that “if counted, be counted separately.”

The Order was issued in a case already before the SCOTUS – Pennsylvania Republican Party v. Kathy Boockvar, Secretary of Pennsylvania, et.al.

Funny how they mention only liberal politicians

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Politicians across the state are reacting to the news that Joe Biden is the president-elect.

Tennessee Congresswoman-elect Diana Harshbarger made the following statement:

And now from a Republican Tennessee politician:

NASHVILLE, Tenn.--Tennessee Senator Marsha Blackburn says she has donated to President Donald J. Trump's Election Defense Fund, joining the president in questioning a "fair election."

On Thursday, Sen. Blackburn tweeted from her @VoteMarsha account "President @realDonaldTrump has always had our backs, and now, we need to have his to make sure every single LEGALLY cast ballot is counted."

I AM DONE

I was born at the end of Gen X and the beginning of the Millennial Generation, and grew up in a middle class town. Life was good. Our home was modest but birthdays and Christmas were always generous, we went on yearly vacations, had 2 cars, and there was enough money for me to take dance classes and art lessons and be in Girl Scouts.

My 1940s born Dad raised me to be patriotic and proud, to love the war bird airplanes of his era as much as he does, and to respect our flag and our country as a sacred thing. I grew up thinking that being an American was the greatest gift a person could have. I grew up thinking that our country was as strong, and honest and true as my Dad. I grew up thinking I was free.

Tennessee Residents Stress That Now Is the Time to Fight for Donald Trump at Stop the Steal Rally

NASHVILLE, Tennessee — Supporters of U.S. President Donald Trump packed Tennessee’s state capitol Saturday even more motivated, energized, and determined to re-elect the president.

This, even as mainstream media outlets named Joe Biden president-elect in a close contest. Trump and his supporters have presented credible evidence that voter fraud put Biden over the top.

Bite me

Fox News host Laura Ingraham has said Donald Trump should accept 'the unfavorable outcome' of the election with 'grace and composure', as several of Rupert Murdoch's right-wing news outlets shifted tone to prepare for the president's defeat.

Ingraham appeared to send Trump advice Friday night to bow out of the White House race gracefully in order to preserve his 'legacy' and focus on 'moving the country forward'.

The anchor, who has long backed Trump, admitted his defeat would be a 'gut punch' before insisting she was 'not conceding anything tonight'.

Robertson County TN back under a mask mandate

ROBERTSON COUNTY TENNESSEE (Smokey Barn News) – Robertson County is going back under a mask mandate following a recent spike in COVID-19 cases and a declaration of a health emergency by Robertson County mayor Billy Vogle.

“As of yesterday, we are averaging 17 positive COVID-19 cases a day, which is 120 people a week in Robertson County. While many of these cases are not hospital stays, some are, and the average stay in the hospital for COVID patients is 9 to 10 days. The Governor reached out to me last week asking me to implement a mask mandate. The middle Tennessee area is a hotbed for the virus with numbers going higher each day.
