The way that pile is just out in the grass, I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess that person doesn't even have a fireplace or wood stove.

When I worked at a remote hydro plant up in Alaska, there was a gal there who had a German shepherd who just had to take his 3 foot long branch with him whenever he went for a walk.
Some places I've lived, I could have used a wood-gathering dog. My squirrel chasers were good dogs, but they never brought home firewood.
