I did #4 on a smaller scale a few days ago in my basement workshop. I picked it all up with a magnet and then sorted them all out. I would have to do it with the mess in the photo. Yup, I am that anal.

They used to allow cars to launch sailboats and jet skis on the beach where I live. There is a bar right on the beach with covered seating outside. Great amusement to see idiots back down below the tide line. One wave is all it takes. Good advertisement for never buying a used car.
