How come we never had cool lunch ladies like this when I was a kid?

  3. The best we ever got was the football players got leftovers from the previous days lunch, along with the current whatever days menu was. And believe it or not, our food was actually good, much better than you would expect for a cafeteria.
Now, they have to offer the kids a salad bar, fruit, etc. in order to ensure that the kids get a well balanced meal. Back in the day, we had homemade chicken pot pie, which was much better than that garbage you buy frozen in the store, lasagna, meatloaf that was as good as you got at home, and other edible food.
I suspect that any edible pot was grabbed by the janitors first, before it hit the lunch room. And by the way, the lunch ladies were all loved and respected by the kids. The school system now, I have no idea what is happening, but I suspect that in my small town, it is just like in every other town, with liberals taking over, and nothing but a bunch of stupid rules that make it pointless to get invested in anything that happens while attending.
Watching the Fox show, The Five, Dana Perino made the statement, she didn't support free community college, because all they do is teach what should be taught the last two years in high school. That was the most intelligent idea that I think I ever heard any pundit say about higher education ever. Mostly because it is true.
