Most likely reared by humans from a pup. Saw one that big in the back of a truck one time. Asked the owner if that was a wolf. The guy said, about 99%. He said, go ahead and pet him. He likes people. I asked , for lunch or dinner?
When I was a kid when I read books that had wolves in them, usually stalking people through the woods or chasing the carriage, I envisioned them as basically German shepherds. ( When I'm absorbed in a good book I don't so much read the words as see the story). It was only after seeing pictures of wolves next to humans that I got a better perspective on why people were so terrified of them.
That's what it's like for me reading, as well. Would be curious to know just what fraction of folks project (visually and auditory) what they are reading.
One big ass wolf.....
ReplyDeleteCanines rolling on their back is a sign of submission. Amazing that a wolf would do that!

And I was stupid because I hadn't even started my first cup of coffee. My bad.
DeleteI'd pet that. I like the wolf too.
ReplyDeleteI've had a few rescues. If you are their pack, they're just another dog, only smarter.
ReplyDeleteI would rollover on my back for her too
ReplyDeleteHow much did she feed it first? Don't try that before dinner.
ReplyDeleteMy girlfriend only sees "furry and cute", doesn't understand 'feral'.
I have a dog that size, Great Pyrenees, love these large dogs, wonderful companions.

ReplyDeleteIt’s like a movie really when I’m reading. I’ve learned that’s not the average experience.

DeleteMy first thought was that if she isn't a midget he's gotta be 200 lbs.

Thinking a hybrid. Sometime hybrids (think Liger) get huge. My understanding is they continue to grow throughout their life.
ReplyDeleteWhy, is she sniffing that wolfs ass?
ReplyDeleteJust canine behavior.
