    1. That pic has to be from the ‘80s. Note the carpet too.

    1. It's an FJ Cruiser, and yes, it should stick to pavement. Land Cruisers don't get stuck that easily.

    2. Toyota FJ but, close enough.

    3. You'll need an excavator to get anything out of there at that point, and don't kid yourself, any Jeep would be just as effed in that muck hole.

    4. 4 wheel drive does not prevent getting stuck. It takes you where it takes a bigger recovery vehicle to get you unstuck. Never assume that your Chevy 3/4 ton 4x4 can go where that Ford Taurus just went.

    5. Once the water reaches the engine air intake you are stuffed.
Always know your wading height / depth.

    6. I own an FJ Cruiser...and a TJ wrangler....and a JKU Rubicon. The FJ is a very competent off road vehicle, just like the TJ and the JK. It's the nut holding onto the steering wheel that's usually the problem.

  3. #3 4wd allows you to get stuck in more inaccessable spots....

  7. #2 reminded me of a painful lesson from my youth. You can sit on a cracked plastic crapper seat ok, as the crack widens, your ass meat will fill the void. It's when you try to lift off that you realize you should have bombed the bowl instead. That may explain why this one was completely separated.

  8. #3. I love my Element, but even they have their limitations. It's OK though. You can just flush out the mud.

  9. 9 - look at that sweet, adorable, innocent face. "I dindu nuffin!".

  11. Aaaand #7 is why I hate pouring or serving stuff to my wife. I'm halfway to her plate or glass, and she suddenly decides it would be helpful to move it to a better position for me.

  15. 4) I was at a guy's house and he asked about doing that. I said I think you have to attach it to the studs. He went and did it that way anyway and when that happened he blamed me. His landlord blamed me, too. Is it just New England or are there assholes like that in other parts of the country too?

    1. AHs are everywhere. There's an especially large concentration in DC and any state capital.

  16. #2: Only someone who would carpet their bathroom could manage to pull this off.

    #4: Serves you right.

#7: Yep, that's how it's done. Let's hold the cup a couple of feet away and hope for the best. If you're drinking wine out of a large plastic cup, I have a feeling it's no huge loss to spill some though.

    #9: "I DINDU NUFFIN!"

#10: As a longtime IT guy who's changed hundreds or maybe thousands of cartridges over the decades, I feel this one. Toner spills can be absolute HELL to clean up. I've been doused more times than I care to admit, never wound up in full blackface though.
