I once warned a guy that walking to the other side of the campfire to get the bottle opener is far better than opening a bottle with your teeth. His teeth survived, and he was quite happy that he didn't have to get out of his chair to drink a beer. No lessons learned that day.
As a child of the 80s (born in the 70s) I feel like most of us learned not to do this when we were in the third grade or thereabouts. I guess things really have changed that much.
