NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Two officers with the Metro Nashville Police Department had their guns and other equipment stolen out of their vehicles early Friday morning.
Nashville PD issues a PSA about once a week telling people to make sure they secure their firearms in a lockbox inside their locked vehicles because of the rampant gun theft downtown. Maybe they should follow their own advice.
too lazy to bring them in ? I not sure where it happen, but didn't a FBI van get broken into and a shitload of SWAT gear get stolen down that way about 10 or so years ago ? I think it was in a hotel parking space ? I seem to remember a bunch of MP5 and other neat stuff got lost/stolen at that time. dave in pa.
I know at one time the Oklahoma Highway Patrol told their officers to leave their rifle and shotgun in their unit at night, because if it was stolen from the car the department would cover it, but if it was stolen from their house they would be on the hook for the cost of replacement.
Do as I say, not as I do.
