"We're getting tired of your shit, Carl. And Karen. And LaShrieka. And Fel'onious."

Viral videos of airline passengers acting badly have become so commonplace that industry workers are pushing back.

  1. Love the title. I understand they have to put up with peoples BS but where does it end. There's already special laws for Dr's, nurses, dental workers, and who knows who else. Do we need a law to protect fast food workers? How about bus drivers? I'm sure there's many examples people who visit this site can come up with. -sammy

    1. Sammy,

So do you want to be stuck in a metal tube for hours with unruly and violent passengers where neither you or they can leave? More appropriately, would you want your wife or daughter to be stuck with them? Do you know what happens to the average abusive passenger? They are escorted outside of security, and that's it. They are free to travel again that same day.

What about the passenger in Newark who got upset with a gate agent, picked him up, and then body slammed him resulting in a broken back? Said passenger got off scot-free.

This is a real problem. A law that bans abusive passengers from all future air travel seems quite reasonable. Don't want to get banned, don't be an asshole. Pretty simple.

      Matt

    4. I realize that a lot of the usual suspects are assing up far more than usual.
But I still remember the vids from the tyranny fight attendants were exhibiting prior.
Don’t think giving them more power will end well.

    6. Although she did not step inside the Capital that day, Alaina was attacked by fellow flight attendants on social media in what would become a multi-year ordeal that ultimately led to a lawsuit against one of the alleged ring-leaders of the abuse she faced, as well as against American Airlines.

You really want to give these people MORE power?

    7. To Matt- Do you think bus drivers don't have to put up with peoples BS A L L D A Y L O N G. 5,6,7 days a week. Yes Anon. I remember seeing all those vids of the flight attendants acting all tyrannical during the mandates. I especially remember how they acted towards children and the parents of children. Outrageous.

  2. There is a misunderstanding here. These were not badly behaving airline passengers. These were just rioting looting and killing BLM and Antifa thugs. That is fine. Nothing to see here.

  3. I'm starting with
I.M.O. Because that is all it is. If I worked in an environment where I was possibly going to be assaulted and my employer didn't arrange for some kind of security, someone who would come to my defense or allow me to carry something, and I went home with bruises or busted teeth or bones, I'd think they should be held liable. It's been amply demonstrated that the public are no longer to be trusted to behave reasonably.
The stairs and the suitcase to be handed to the guy, people dressed up like they were going somewhere important. Now it's become something completely different. Not that I am involved. I won't go through tsa,so no airplane rides for me.
If you're a young healthy guy and someone is getting aggressive with someone, do you get involved? Well I think that needs to happen, but idk what would happen Today if you did. I think the aisle should be jammed with people going to tell whoever is causing problems they need to sit down and STFU, but that doesn't seem like a common attitude.

  4. A young healthy guy would be locked up in a J7 prison for viciously protecting himself against a democrat thug.

  5. Why do we need the government to get involved? If all the airlines shared the names of the dbags to blackball from flying. You have no "Right" to fly... Act the fool on 1 airline and get banned from them all. Easy peasy and doesn't cost the taxpayers a penny.

    You're welcome.

    1. There is already a federal no fly list, my bet is many of these events are with fliers who fly VERY infrequently. As a 1m+ miler, delays and cancellations are part of the pleasure of flying, its gonna happen. I always thank the airline folks, they have hard jobs.
