Protester disrupts traffic for the last time

A protester is in critical condition after setting themselves on fire in an apparent "political protest" outside an Israeli Consulate office in Atlanta, police said.

  1. I'm a rare Atlanta native, from the city where, "Everyone's from somewhere else." That used to mean people from rural Georgia like my parents. But these days it's full of all kinds of crazy people from somewhere else.

  3. Why'd they try to put him out?

If dude want to burn himself, let him, so long as he doesn't harm anyone else.

  6. Rumor has it that she was burned on 100% of her body which is not survivable. The only problem here is she will drain $50k per day in the burn unit until she eventually dies of massive infection in a few weeks.

  7. So how do you act like you are trying to save them but pour more gas on at the same time.

  12. Burns and the treatment of them is not fun. I feel sorry for anyone who is burned, but I question her politics. I’ve treated burn victims, all accidental, but to deliberately set yourself on fire is stupid.

    1. It's not the burns so much as the debridement...

  14. Sounded like a peaceful protest, let them carry it out. But: “consul general of Israel to the southeastern U.S.” How many of them are there?! That’s another story we need to wonder about. - Roaddevil
