DeleteI remember seeing them in the mid '70's at Chippewa Lake Park (Ohio) Oktoberfest. Geez! Where did the time go? I still have a glass beer pitcher from that day.

DeleteParents took me and brother to a wedding reception (I was prob 8-9 years old). Father of the bride was drunk, and pissed at one of the guests, walked up to the table where the guy was seated, smacked the pitcher sidewys on the edge of the table and came up with a perfect glass handle with 2" of jagged glass edges all the way around. Looked at the guy, shook the glass at him and said "I'm gonna kill you, you son of a bitch!"
I got shoved aside, tackling ensued. Ah, the good old days. No cops were called, it was just a thing that happened, family handled it, end of story.
