Monterey police said a Fresno man was arrested after he tried to evade a DUI after driving off the Municipal Wharf 2 on Sunday morning.
It all started when officers saw a 1997 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck driving the wrong way on a one-way street after turning onto Del Monte at 1:25 a.m., said police in a media release.
I guessed correctly. Very likely the DUI is only the latest on a long rap sheet. Too, probably been deported multiple times.
The Sheriff won't investigate. City cops, no way. But investigation of the perp will very likely lead to a drug ring using young males as mules. Sherf knows but can't hold them all. Feds do diddly squat. So, book 'em, turn 'em loose. At least that way they don't return after deportation with a new name.
