  1. # 8. Bowfishing became a thing a few years ago around here but it's not something I've ever found interesting

    2. We used to shoot the hell out of carp in the shallow headwaters of our tidal creeks when they come up to spawn. Entertainment + invasive species control.

    1. I love that gif.
Do you suppose the Amish run horseshoes with cleats in the wintertime?

  3. #5 ... I'd keep that little guy away from the stove if I were boiling water.

  6. #2 - I was sitting eating dinner at my son's wedding reception last fall with some of the groomsmen and when we were finished eating the waiters took our plates and utensils but the serving line was still open. I said "so is the challenge to see of we can keep eating without forks?" One of the guys said "challenge accepted" and got another plate of brisket, potato salad, and beans, stopped by the bar and grabbed two of those short straws and ate that plateful of food using straws for chopsticks like he was born in Bejing. It was hilarious. To be fair that young man is a 2nd LT in the USAF attached to Special Operations Command.

  7. #10 - This may be an all-electric semi-truck with little or no power to pull its load. FJB!!!

  8. #4 reminds me of the VW beetle I had as a teen. It was originally a 6 volt system that I converted to 12 volt. I did not change out the wiper motor, and on high the wipers looked like what you see in #4.
I was caught in a heavy downpour once and foolishly turned the wipers on high so I could see better, but the wiper blade on the driver's side flew off of the wiper arm making it much worse for me.

  9. #2 - I see someone who forgot to pack a fork with his lunch. Been there, done that. Didn't find screws quite so large though.

  10. Around here the Amish horses shoes have Carbide crystals brazed on. Tear the roads up year round. Township has to come around and replave a 2 foot wide section in the middle of the lane
