Chicago police arrested a bank robber on Wednesday as he waited (and waited and waited) for the teller to return with the cash he demanded, federal officials say.
After twice entering and leaving Chase Bank, 4455 South Pulaski, Eugene Hill returned a third time and handed a note to the teller around 1:08 p.m., according to an FBI agent’s affidavit.
Reminds me of an incident from my college job at a supermarket. Two men came in with a stolen prescription pad form some doctors office, on which they had written themselves a "prescription" for a controlled substance. A call was made to the doctor's office, which confirmed this was bogus, so the next call was to the police. Now the police took a while to come around, but the would be 'patients' were kept in the store with promises their 'prescription' was still being processed. They were still waiting when the police finally showed up.
