ReplyDeleteIf you are going to crash a airplane, that's the place to do it. NHRA Safety Safari will take care with abundant haste.
ReplyDeleteThey were probably on scene before the plane even finished crashing.
DeleteThe dragstrip is at the end of the Fairplex, Brackett airfield is across the street (McKinley Ave.). Sitting in the stands you can watch the planes land while waiting for the Safety Safari to clean up an oil down.

Changing the name to Up-N-Down burger.
ReplyDeleteLanding 26 L or R takes you right over the strip. Because the strip is literally right across the street, a normal approach puts you about 50 agl when crossing the strip.
ReplyDeleteI used to time my approaches to cross the strip just when the Christmas tree turns green. Give the spectators a little bit more for their money. If timed well, you can feel the raw power of the engines as you pass over.
yup, juan's on it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h2aEv-i7rMw
