The world would be a much better place if the athletes behaved like these gents. You are nothing without your fans. Just a monkey with a ball, show sone respect for the people that pay your salary.
The days of the gentlemanly athlete, like Arthur Ashe, Rodger Federer, or Jackie Robinson are about over. Now we have that purple haired soccer banshee (whose name I can't recall now).
I (fortunately) can't remember that anti-American B-word's name either, nor do I want to try to find out what it is. All I know is that she's from Redding, California, which is probably one of the most Red-Necked cities in the state. What an embarrassment to those good people.
All of them are special people for sure. My wifes sister had Downs Syndrome. She died a while back but lived until her late sixties. That's pretty unusual from what I've heard. She was a delight.
I'm not sure if you are joking, but those guys play Australian Rules Football for the Geelong team in the Australian Football League. You know, like American football but without pads or helmets, they don't stop for a breather every few seconds, and everybody on the team can kick. They are celebrating after winning the championship game.
It is but it'll take you a while to understand the rules and scoring. It has an enormous following and saying that the fans are passionate is an understatement.
Fans are passionate - but it never gets nasty. Same with players. Something to make use of those huge cricket pitches in "winter". Winter is relative in Australia. It used to be the best, the lucky country.
Whatever they play and whoever they play for, it's a class act when someone in professional sports takes the time out of their day to make a special needs person as happy as that young man is. Good show, good show indeed!
