Who doesn't keep their decomposing goat in the tub?

HONEA PATH, S.C. (FOX Carolina/Gray News) - Authorities in South Carolina say two people were charged after an 8-month-old and over 40 animals were found living in unsanitary and unsafe conditions.

  1. HP was a dump to begin with. Par for the course. But it does have a 4-lane highway.

  2. Are those some kind of cult or religious smocks I wonder. Or maybe it's to contain the bugs before they are shaved and disinfected.

  3. That's been big news here in western NC recently. It's beyond a pathetic situation. The 2 people probably have a combined I.Q. of 30. The trouble is there's more of these kind of folks in the area.

  4. I think old RFK may be on to something when it comes to dramatically increased cases of autism here on the home front. While people like the ones depicted in the article have always existed, there seams to be a hell of a lot more of them here lately. Perhaps that's not the case, but damn. Years ago, my grandmother and I talked about a similar subject, the increase in violent crime. Her take on it was that a certain percentage of the population was predisposed to commit crimes, around 5 percent, and as the population increased, the number of criminals, and hence, crimes, would increase. She also felt that the new at the time 24 hour news cycle made people more aware of things that would not have been nationally newsworthy in the past. Things to ponder on a rainy day. Eod1sg Ret

I think your grandmother was right. I've always contended that whether you're talking about family, community, or world politics, 3% of the people make everything good happen (jobs, inventions, charities), 89% just want to have a paycheck, a home, an education for their kids, and 3% fuck everything up. The percentages may vary a little, but the principal remains.
