ReplyDeleteSaw that show when they came through Dallas.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely amazing.
I was lucky enough to catch them twice on the same tour back in the '80s. They started the tour in Oakland CA and finished it in Sacramento.
Deletei caught both the reunion arena show, and the one a couple of years later at texas stadium when a storm rolled thru and hosed all the folks sitting on the field under the hole in the dome. no one noticed. no one cared. the band played on. truly a rock n roll moment .
DeleteYou obviously went the second night. No rain the first. Saw both shows at Texas Stadium. 5th row, lower balcony in line with 5th row on floor for first night. Middle of the rain for the second.
DeletePut a serious dent in the bank account but we'll worth it.
1973 & 1994 Tampa Stadium
ReplyDeleteSaw them at the Capitol Center. Best show I ever attended. The show linked above is probably their best on YT.

i was there too, they opened for Grand Funk railroad. It took a couple of songs by GFR before the audience "recovered" from Pink Floyd and realized what was on stage.
Delete1975, 50 friggin years ago this month I attended their concert in Roosevelt stadium, Jersey City, NJ. The weed was strong & plentiful.
ReplyDeleteHere's the recording if you're interested:
