I saw Stevie three times. First time was before his fall from grace as he was headlining the early 80s New Year's Eve show at The Summit in Houston, second time was at the little Brevard County Fair after his fall from grace, third time was after he had regained grace and was the headliner again. The fair show, with maybe 50 people in the audience, was every bit as good as the big shows.
Robin Trower is, in my humble opinion, the most underrated and unappreciated guitarist in history. I'm always surprised when someone else recognizes his mastery. Or his name, for that matter. If you will excuse me now, I've got to go put Bridge of Sighs on and crank it to eleven.
