Say what you will about what mean B*st*rds Cats can be but they can be remarkably patient with tiny tots. I witnessed an incident where a two-year-old literally tried to pick up an unsuspecting cat by the tail. Anyone else would have gotten shredded into taco cheese for that, but when the cat saw it was a kid, he just gave a resigned look and moved out of reach.
"That is one uncommonly patient cat." That's what I was thinking. Kenny, there are barn cats out there that want human contact and there are humans out there that are able to charm the most standoffish animals (my sister). The key to cats is to let them approach you.
I had barn cats when I was living in Riverbank on some dairy pasture and those suckers would launch an unprovoked attack on me so often I started carrying a stick every time I ventured in there.
I prefer dogs, but I like cats, too. Got the scars to prove it. Mine will put up with a lot of crap from little kids. Not so much from teenagers and adults. Eod1sg Ret

ReplyDeleteThat is one uncommonly patient cat. Even let someone put a shirt on him. Must be a different breed than the ones I've known.
ReplyDeleteLet's see them try that with a barn cat.
