#7 Had a 135lb German Shepherd. Dog would go almost ballistic whenever I tried to cut his nails. Called a mobile dog groomer who showed up in a van. Took the dog out to her and she bathed him and dried him. She got out clippers and just clipped his nails. the whole time the dog was trying to lick her face and wagging his tail. Go figure.
Years ago, my sister had a standard poodle - the breed-line that was a normal sized dog. Poor Max HATED bath-time, and went totally ballistic if sister even said the word "bath". I looked after the dog for a few months while she was travelling, and never had a single issue with giving him a bath. It seems that the dog was keying off HER anxiety about bath-time, not his. Who'd a thunk it?
