A thought

I assume that many of you have our Flag displayed either in or outside of your home.
But how many of you walk past it every morning and salute it, thank God for it, or even think of the American blood that was shed for that flag?
Do that for me tomorrow, will you?
The first man that died for our Country and the last man killed in Afghanistan or Iraq deserve that much.

  2. They deserve that and so much more. Whenever we go to my brothers house, we pass through Ft. Bragg where we usually stop for fuel and drinks. Almost every time we stop at a gas station, there is at least one U.S. soldier there, refueling their vehicle, getting a snack, etc. I make it a point to introduce myself to them, shake their hand and thank them for everything they've done for our country (and it isn't just Bragg, anywhere I go if I encounter someone in military uniform I do the same). Thanks for reminding everyone that that piece of cloth flapping at the top of the flagpole is more than just a nice decoration and Wirecutter, thank you for everything you've done for our country.

  3. Thanks for your comments, Deb and Truth.
My neighbors look at me kinda sorta funny when I walk out, raise my Flag to my face and nuzzle it for a moment.
That piece of cloth was bought and paid for with Patriot blood and that's something we all need to remember.
    God, I love that flag.

  4. Last time my nephew was home on leave (USMC) we went to a farmer's market sort of event (he was in his camo's-with permission from Drill Instructor)so many people stopped us to thank him for his service-I was in tears all day long. Thank god for the people (like you, Wirecutter) who realize the sacrifice our loved ones make.

    God bless America!

  5. My flag flies every day and not one goes by that I don't just look at it and think how lucky I am that there are young and old alike, who are will to put themselves on the line everyday... I am so proud of all of them! I touch my flag every day in honor of them! I'm also considering getting an "Honor and Remember" flag soon... Google that and check it out!

  6. Every morning one of my little cherubs waves the flag back and forth while recite the Pledge of Allegiance. And the MUST speak clearly and loudly because I told that MANY PEOPLE HAVE DIED TO GIVE YOU THIS RIGHT SO SPEAK LOUD AND SPEAK PROUD.
