A few more thoughts on the Tucson shooting

Jared Loughner was well known to Pima County law enforcement for making numerous threatening phone calls in the past, yet nothing was done. The High Sheriff himself though is quick to lay blame everywhere else but where it belongs - his department.
The following are excerpts:
The sheriff has been editorializing and politicizing the event since he took the podium to report on the incident. His blaming of radio personalities and bloggers is a pre-emptive strike because Mr. Dupnik knows this tragedy lays at his feet and his office. Six people died on his watch and he could have prevented it. He needs to step up and start apologizing to the families of the victims instead of spinning this event to serve his own political agenda.
Jared Loughner has been making death threats by phone to many people in Pima County including staff of Pima Community College, radio personalities and local bloggers. When Pima County Sheriff’s Office was informed, his deputies assured the victims that he was being well managed by the mental health system.

Arizona is a right-to-carry state, yet only one person supposedly got a shot off in return. What the fuck is up with that?

The fucking libs are so busy pointing fingers over the Tucson shooting that I'm surprised nobody has suggested Safeway is liable because they didn't provide sufficient security for the event.
And maybe I should shut the fuck up before some asshole files a suit for just that.

  1. returning fire in a crowded area can be tricky...people who were armed probably didn't want to take a chance on hitting innocent bystanders.

  2. Too true, Anthony. I was assuming everybody hit the ground which may not have been the reality.
