Thought Control 2012

(The London Free Press) — A common prescription drug used to treat high blood pressure may also curb racist thoughts, a new U.K. study suggests.
University of Oxford researchers found people who took the drug propranolol showed less implicit racism — automatic, subconscious bias — than those who took a placebo.
Half of study participants were given the drug and the other half received a placebo. They were given prejudice tests before, during and after taking the pills. Participants were asked to quickly categorize positive and negative words with the faces of back and white people.
Although just 36 white men and women took part in the study, it provides new evidence about the processes in the brain that shape implicit racial bias, co-author Sylvia Terbeck said.
“Given the key role that such implicit attitudes appear to play in discrimination against other ethnic groups, and the widespread use of propranolol for medical purposes, our findings are also of considerable ethical interest,” she said.

I wonder how long it will be now before doctors are "encouraged" to swap out current BP meds for this stuff?
I take Atenolol for my blood pressure. To check and see if you're taking the other shit, I have taken a moment to look it up.

Propranolol (INN) is a sympatholytic non-selective beta blocker. Sympatholytics are used to treat hypertension, anxiety and panic. It was the first successful beta blocker developed. Propranolol is available in generic form as propranolol hydrochloride, as well as an AstraZeneca and Wyeth product under the brand names Inderal, Inderal LA, Avlocardyl (also available in prolonged absorption form named "Avlocardyl Retard"), Deralin, Dociton, Inderalici, InnoPran XL, Sumial, Anaprilinum (depending on marketplace and release rate), Bedranol SR (Sandoz).

  1. Right, now I really want a good water filter for my mains water supply. I'm also getting a water butt set-up (long overdue).
If this report is true, it will be a .Gov priority to have it included in the water supply asap......

  2. That IS exactly why I drink from a mountain spring. Years ago, some enterprising dude saw this spring coming out of the hill and jammed a pipe in to it. The pipe protrudes out about 2-3 feet through an old tree stump and angles down at a 90 degree. I set my 5 gallon jugs under the rusted pipe and they are filled with the BEST tasting water you'll ever drink. It even makes the coffee taste great. No fluoride, no clorox, nothing except GOOD water.

  3. I've been taking that drug, Inderal, same as the propranolol for over 40 years as a beta blocker( regulates irregular heartbeat) and even before taking it in the first 33 years I never hated all black people. Just the lazy assed moochers and people like Jesse Jr, Al Sharpton and the rest of the race baiters bastards that cause all the racial shit in this country!
