Joe G's pocket rocket

Joe sent this in the other day but I'm way behind on my emails.
Smith & Wesson model 37 in 38 Special.

Nice little wheelgun, my summertime sidearm is a Charter Arms Off Duty in 38 Special, bought it almost 30 years ago and still carry it.

What a coincidence, when I was in the Border patrol, back between 79 and 83, I sold a Charter Arms 38. I wonder if it could be the same one. I sold it to a guy who was a firearms engraver. I always thought he would practice his art on it and he probably did just that otherwise jkept it for self defense. Now though, you have me wondering if by some weird coincidence he sold it to you.

    All the best,

  2. I bought it new from PV Ranch & Home in '82 or '83, maybe '84, and I paid $162 for it out the door. That li'l fucker weighs 16 ounces and kicks like a 44 magnum but it's accurate as hell and easy to hide.

  3. Thanks Ken. She's a mid '80s. Very accurate as long as you have a firm grip to control the muzzle rise, and totally disappears in your pocket!
You could probably hide it in your goatee!!
    Keep your powder dry,
    Joe G.

  4. Bought my wife a Model 36 for home defense. I end up carrying it or my new Bodyguard in summertime.
